Shaun 09-12-2010 05:17 PM

-ostracises self further by being in the last year to qualify for £3,290-

Tom 09-12-2010 05:20 PM

King Gizzard 09-12-2010 05:21 PM

Expect more because of this bull**** coalition

Judas 09-12-2010 05:21 PM

I'm really, really disapointed but I suppose you would be blind if you didn't see it coming. I'm just hoping some miracle stops it, I really do fear this is going to have a deep negative impact for such a small finacial benefit.

People said that when fees were introduced in the first place though, and it did nothing to deter people from going to University then.

Its still being paid for by the student loans company, the only difference is it will take longer to pay it off than usual and it comes out at an unnoticable amount each month anyway. And most of the degrees that people are moaning about (mainly health and public services) remain largely unaffected anyway

If you want a degree you should damn well pay for it.

Clearly your friend is not clever enough to BE a student if he's that easily led - he should just go get a job.

LOL, I hate to sound the skeptic but you realises that could be argued as a product of this quote - "There is no such thing as society" - not saying that is your views but sill

I do think NL were irresponsible but I don't know if this is the best way to repair the damage.

I agree to an extent with your last statement - but I think HE needs more government funding - people seem to forget we will be funding research with benefits everyone aswell as our tuition fees.

that's assuming it's the role of society to pay for everyone's higher education...which I don't think it is.

"Look at the saddle though. Some pr--k obviously didn't tack the horse up correctly."

You are Very wrong there
it was shown on SkyNews and ITV London Local News
as he was pulled off
the saddle went with him , he hanged onto it,
hurting the horse who then panicked and jumped onto him.

All down to a Punk Student.

Angus 09-12-2010 05:59 PM

Sorry, I meant that about when you said "oh well. I'll live." - To me this was interpreted as "Oh well, it won't effect me". It was this that I meant can be seen as an attitude of the Thatcher generation of "There is no such thing as society" - if it wont effect you, it doesn't matter.

All down to a Punk Student.

Unless it was the man in your avatar pulling the police man off then that shouldn't of happened - the girth couldn't of been tight enough. But I agree it was a childish, stupid and gormless thing to do.
