Just immediate family for most of the day,be me and my parents this year cos my brother is is in China. We usually go out to my grandparents for a few hours and sometimes my other relatives are there.

I always found this to be the bit I loathed when I was younger: having to do exactly that with relatives I really didn't know much about - and it would end up a real chore, rather than a day that I could just relax with. I think that's the part a lot don't like about it.

Great if you have a close family, close bonds and really enjoy the get togethers, but for many, it's a royal pain.

during the day its just me, my mum, my dad, my sisters and their kids but on the night all my mums family come over so theres like 20 people in my house and i have to sit on the floor

On cristmas day it's usually just my mum, my sis and hubby, me and hubby and the kids. This year my brother in law's bro is coming over for the states too..

Boxing day is the day for the whole family and it's such a good day! My sister loves cooking and organising so she see's to it all. SHe's doing a 3 course sit down meal for 19 people this year! I don't know how she copes to be honest! Then after dinner she normally organises a game or summat and then later, the guitars come out for a good old fashioned sing song!

That's when it can be good fun, I have to agree!
