hopefully it is

So hope this is true. Without those two the show can be axed sooner.
ITV can then spend the extravagant amount of money they use to pay for it on actually making some good non reality programmes and stop with the constant repeats.

Won't be worth watching without Cheryl and Simon

Iceman 16-01-2011 02:10 PM

Doubt this is true at all.

ILoveTRW 16-01-2011 02:13 PM

I think this is completely true. The News of the World are almost always right.
It is virtually impossible for them to do both shows at the same time.
and before some smart Alec butts in and says "well len and bruno do it on strictly come dancing", they don't have the added job of mentoring their contestants.

Zippy 16-01-2011 02:20 PM

I don't believe Simon will give it up. He may miss certain parts of it like the auditions. But like with BGT he will show up for the important live parts.

He can do the UK & US shows if he really wants to. But if him and Cheryl do go I doubt Ill watch. It'll just suddenly look third rate. Louis is OK as the joke on the end...but as chief judge he just isnt authorative enough.

Marsh. 16-01-2011 08:35 PM

Well whether they want to or not i think it can be possible. Simon did X Factor and American Idol at the same time didn't he?
But it would "shatter the illusion" that they mentor the acts on either the US or UK versions if they're constantly flying back and forth.

They can mentor their acts from a distance. Its their team that does all the vocal & choreography work anyways. The hands on stuff. The mentors just choose the songs and approve things.

Beastie 16-01-2011 11:33 PM

Cheryl Cole is easily replaceable.

Simon Cowell.. not as easy.

Beastie 16-01-2011 11:35 PM

I heard rumours James Cordon could be a judge. I rather he doesn't. The 2 new judges should have some link to the music industry. Charlotte Church and Lily Allen would be good. Also maybe Gary Barlow.

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 17-01-2011 05:53 PM

Simon please don't go!! You have been one of the best thing about these shows since the beginning. Without you there's a huge gap. Don't give a toss about cheryl, nicole was more fun anyway. siiiimon don't leave us for la la land:bawling:

Jordan. 17-01-2011 05:57 PM

Simon got **** when Cheryl joined, he dropped the nasty act therefore making him pointless. It won't be a massive loss without them at all.

Niamh. 17-01-2011 06:40 PM

I hope it's true I hate the two of them

Callum 17-01-2011 06:47 PM

Course they won't

Stevep 18-01-2011 10:20 AM

Anyone think this could possibly have a backlash affect on Cheryls UK career a tad? People seeing the switch from the UK to the US as a bit of an abandonment? Probs not, just a thought!

Doubt any of them will leave though, just the usual dramatic news that constantly filters out from the x factor to build ratings/talk.
