Who are UNKLE?

Like are they a band themselves or do they just work or feature in other artists/bands songs? I know they've done work with Ian Brown before but i wasn't sure if they actually release their own material too or just work with others.

Basically it's a group but then it has employed a variety of guest artists and producers. The members keep changing. They're brilliant.

I somehow have Reign in my iTunes and really like it, I've no idea how it got there and don't know a thing about UNKLE, first time I've ever read anyone mention them anywhere! Cool :)
