They don't actually, some of the site's most respected members have been banned several times, there's no favourtism. It's probably just that DS's moderation team is so large that their judgments of what's acceptable and what's not vary.

They also do not reply to any messages sent to query any bannings...
Rightly, their decision is final and not up for discussion, it's their site. Complaining about it won't help your case.

They also allowed one member to make homophobic posts & refused to emove them or ban the member in question because they said it was their right as their religion was unaccepting of homosexuals, I was however banned when I said that their religion was disgusting ,as they also advocated the stoning to death of women who cheat on their husbands!!... It is a sh*t forum with sh*t Mods...
Again, DS is a very large website, owned by a large publishing company and read by millions, they're more likely to be sued than TIBB or the like are, there's no law against holding controversial religious views, there is a law against inciting religious hatred.

(Also being against / condeming of homosexuality, as *******ed up as it is, is not the same as being homophobic, i.e. having an intense and irrational hatred or fear of homosexuals)

That kind of sounded like you were throwing a bomb or something at them during a riot whilst yelling that, like:

'DS IS ******ING SH*TE!!!!'

Well I have seen evidence that there is favouritism & that they turn a blind eye... And surely all Mods should know what is/isn't acceptable?? They are not doing their jobs properly if they themselves deem what is/isn't fit...

And why is it "rightly" that they will not correspond with queries?! When as you have admitted some Mods have different rules to others?! Ridiculous.

And saying a religion was barbaric & cruel for condoning the death of homosexuals & adulterous women is hardly inciting religious hatred is it! So again why should I have been banned for saying that??? :conf:

And some of the comments which were not removed were VERY homophobic, not simply someone saying it is against their religion, they just used that as an excuse for their views... So again that is bo**ocks...

You obviously love Digital Spy & think it is the dogs... I however strongly disagree & think it is an awful site run by w@nkers... :xyxwave:

It really isn't, it just has a demographic which is at odds with that of TIBB.

I tried to register with Digital Spy back in July and then they tried to charge me because I used a hotmail adress :bored:

So I looked for another BB forum and found this place, I'm glad I did now

KG. 31-01-2011 11:49 PM

I tried to sign up with DS, but I realised it was ****, so I came here.

Your not allowed to attack fellow members, that's one of the fundamental rules of most forums.

I did point that out myself.

Should have used your ISP provided address, it states when you register in bold text that the site doesn't allow sign ups from free anonymous e-mail addresses that render posters unaccountable.

The average age on DS is actually around 30, 25 in the entertainment sections, 40 in politics and GD (it's a big site).

(Not that 50 is at all old)

It seems older because it's usership is less MTV gen (being originally a serious broadcasting forum before showbiz tookover the homepage).

Maybe but my hotmail is the only email account I've used and every other single site has accepted it. I never really read the conditions or the terms when I sign up for a site so I must have missed that

Beastie 01-02-2011 12:11 AM

I just nosey on DS for news I want. (If they know anything about BB and that before us). I am only a member on TIBB and a Neighbours site. The Neighbours site I only post on it a few times because well in TIBB it's more relaxed and you can post about nearly anything!

DS does seem a bit stricter.

I didn't "attack" him - I criticised his BB production decisions which had resulted in a disastrous year-on-year fall in viewing and voting figures ..... ;)

I've criticised some aspects it myself here, I just have never had the problems that everyone else here seems to have, I've been banned a few times but only ever briefly (and always for good reason) and I've only ever had fallings out with members over differences in opinion, just as on any other forum and never seriously.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 01-02-2011 12:16 AM

But those that I saw banned did.
