Good. Will stop the Gaga-fanatics thinking she'll just get the #1 because shes Gaga, she needs to earn it like the rest of them out there producing music.

The song is not awful, but its far from brilliant, doesnt deserve to be a #1 hit, Jessie and Adele's songs both did!

impressive. I also hear Someone Like You is only the third non-single to reach #1.

Judas 20-02-2011 07:08 PM

I like both songs, allthough for me the new Gaga track has to be listened to a few times to actually like, so I assume that why she hasn't done aswell as many hoped. Well done Adele.

tbf i think we all knew lady gaga was a novelty artist.

Good to see a British artist dominating the charts. Sick of the Katy Perry, Rihanna, GaGa getting the number 1's purely for who they are.

GiRTh 20-02-2011 07:15 PM

Zippy gloating again over someones disappointment. Nothing changes.

Good for Adele. She deserves it.

Twilight 20-02-2011 07:16 PM

Can't believe my boys are number 21, oh my god. <3

Is Someone Like You not a single then? If "Set Fire to the Rain" was the second single, wouldn't have it made more sense to perform that at the Brits?

Novo 20-02-2011 07:31 PM

Beat by a Non single? it gets better and better.

Shaun 20-02-2011 07:31 PM

yeah it's not for some reason. She just performs it everywhere - has done for promos on MSN, Jools Holland, some others.

joeysteele 20-02-2011 07:49 PM

Well deserved.

KG. 20-02-2011 08:05 PM

Great news, well deserved.

+ Jessie J beating her once again after all Gaga's fans telling everybody to "wait for next week as it's only been out for a couple of days" last week makes it all the more sweet :joker:

Paws up!

Tom4784 20-02-2011 09:24 PM

Well deserved. BTW is wank and doesn't deserve the position it's got nevermind No1. It's a gigantic fail when someone like Lady Gaga who has been hyped beyond belief can't manage to beat a song that's only been performed live and isn't even an official single and another that's been out for weeks. The UK No1 should have been a walk in the park for Gaga. I guess it speaks volume about the quality of the song that not even the brainless masses want propel it to the pole position.

Smithy 20-02-2011 09:34 PM

There is so much wrong with the above statement I'm not even gonna bother :bored:

Niall 20-02-2011 09:39 PM

I'm sad Gaga ain't number one but its ok because Adelle's music is decent.

Patrick 20-02-2011 09:39 PM

LMFAO.

Born This Way - Biggest Flop In Ages.

Smithy, Jessica, 'Monsters', Say what you want about it being Number 1 in whatever many countries.
But barley anyone is talking about or has been talking about the way they were with Poker Face.

The only people that give two sh*ts about this song is the 'Monsters' that have nothing else to do.

So yeah, Born This Way, may of been 'successful' in over 20 Countries but that's only because it's fans haven't shut up about it.

I mean what, 1 or 2 weeks at Number 1?
That's a massive fail for GaGa.

Can't see it staying big in other countries either.

Gaga fanatics please just accept the song is a big fat ass fail and quit saying..oh it'll be number one next week.

Im sure the video will be spiffy and all but remember this;

YOU CAN'T POLISH A TURD

How can a song that topped nearly all the iTunes stores upon release be a fail. Wow...*Rolls eyes and swaggers out*

Shaun 20-02-2011 09:41 PM

flop this way x

Jordan. 20-02-2011 09:42 PM

It only topped itunes because everyone rushed to buy it because of how built up and over hyped it was for so long.

No one 'hoped' anything, everyone with a Brain Cell knew it would flop because the song was terrible and over hyped.

It was just a matter of time before reality hit the delusional GaGa fans who thought this song was going to change the world and all that bollocks.

:laugh3:

It's sold over 1,000,000 copies in 5 days on iTunes alone, so that's excluding physical copies, Amazon etc regardless of if it's a good song, it's broke dozens of records and sold bucket loads, in no way is that a flop
