On Ch4News Now
Of course the bloke from the Traders says young people do not impulse buy. But he is Wrong & Stupid as Girls interviewed who just pointed out "its Sexy , I can do it I do not need a man to show me" 300,000 Teens take up smoking, each year so InOne these new ways are to save younger folks than you. |
Terrible idea, I doubt it will even be that effective but that's not even the point. The government should stop thinking it's their job to protect people from themselves, people should have the right to choose to smoke if they so wish, trying to hide cigarettes away in the desperate hope that it will make people give up or not start is a stupid idea.
Where do they draw the line as well? What about alcohol? Causes a lot more violence, leads to a lot of deaths and illness as well, why dont they hide that below the counter. Or even chocolates? Obesity is a big health problem as well, shouldnt they be hidden so that fat people can resist temptation |

Fat people is a problem yes - but not like Fags. And Even on this Thread a Charming Lady has posted how she wants her Color Design packs. They are Drawing Lines to save life. And all Political people agree except UKIP. |
How is making the packets all white going to change anything? If they are that bothered by smoking then they should just ban it full stop, but they won't as they will lose too much revenue that smokers bring.
And as for pollution, what about the pollution from all the cars/vehicles etc. :bored: |

They will be able to pick up the cheap job lots of recycled cardboard that cereal manufacturers are now discarding. The mineral oils that caused the cereal makers to stop using recycled stuff will then leach into the tobacco, killing off the smokers quicker. Less smokers will mean it will appear to the general public that the government have finally got the message across that smoking kills. And no one in the cardboard industry looses jobs. For the foreseeable future by which time the cardboard and tobacco workers take up the dead smokers jobs. |
Dont see the point, it wont make people want to stop and it wont stop those who intend to start.
Let people smoke if they want to, thats what I say! |

Yesterday was No Smoking Day and Kate Moss the Utter Trouble Maker marches out with her stinking fag in her gob. She is one Stinker that gets younger girls smoking and feeling Sexy. They used to have ads back in 1968 that showed women being more Free as they smoked. In 1969 they were banned. Kate Moss Rear http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/...39_306x549.jpg |
Dont see what making the packet white will do, people smoke because of the tatse, not because they think the packet colour is cool.
Young people smoke to look hard/be social accepted by the so called "cool" kids. It wont make a difference with young children. |
