Secondly, I thought all three were horrendous - mind Alexandra was such a caricature that she was almost just funny. You kind of knew where you stood, didn't you? As in, cross the road.

No, Josie is a whole lot worse than Alexandra, for my money. She's a complete and perfect example of a narcissist. The world revolves around her, she's prone to violence - admitted herself she battered her ex in the head with a baseball bat and was severely heavy handed with Sam a couple of times in the house - and the way she ostracised Caoimhe and then made herself look the victim was a masterclass in manipulation and bullying. She constantly, permanently contradicted herself. She tried to turn the house against Sam for saying she would sell stories about her relationship. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
She's done eff all since she walked out. Oh, and this week she has sunk new depths by almost any standard - and that's saying something. To sell the story of having an abortion AT THREE MONTHS FFS for money to OK Magazine - that bastion of exploitative drivel - is astonishing. Then to compound the matter, she turns herself into the victim (oh wait, where did we see THAT before?) and does a complete character assassination on her ex boyfriend, who she stayed with, by the way, for four or five years after he 'forced' her to have an abortion.
How anyone cannot see what a nasty, manipulative, false witch that one is is completely beyond me. And see that, I can do all this without personally insulting YOU.
And don't even get me started on the FAKE engagement pictures, the MYTHICAL three stone weight loss and the PISSED AS A FART turn on Celebrity Juice.
She's a fascinating example of the very worst of zelebrity culture. The epitome of it.

You will "Hit report"?

Your melow dramatic and need to chill out.

This response makes you look seriously angry and irate.

Report me for that.

Her jolly country yokel persona has certainly done the job for her. But it's not for nothing that she can't get a visa to visit Australia(according to John James). She probably has criminal convictions, and these days they're fussy about who they let in to their country.

John James says Josie doesn't have "enough points". Now I know for a fact that unless you have certain criminal convictions you will not be denied a tourist visa at least, and it does seem odd that, considering John James is supposedly head over heels in love with Josie and is very close to his mum, that he has not taken his beloved to Oz to meet his friends and family.

You only need a certain amount of "points" if you are considering working and living in Australia.

When she was in Big Brother she talked (it was on live feed) about having been offered the chance a while ago to work in Australia. That was before Big Brother. I am sure that is what he meant in that interview, he wasn't talking about a tourist visa. They're much more strict about giving visas if you are planning to stay and work. You've just made out of nowhere that she has criminal convictions that means she can't get a tourist visa.

I think most people that watched Big Brother, and from what I've read, the people that have met her since, would say she has a good-natured personality. As far a calling her - or any Big Brother housemate - a 'vile human being' I think a sense of perspective is required? Big Brother was a show in which a group of people lived in a house for three months. I'd say it is pretty difficult to do anything in that environment which is bad enough to deserve that description. It has to be said that a by-product of the format of the show was some bizarre over-the-top judgements and hatreds of certain housemates. They are having their every-move analysed be viewers and the HMs are often being criticised for what is perfectly normal, everyday behaviour.

This I agree with 100%. I won't deny that there have been HMs that I disliked over the years but the hatred some people seem to have for their chosen HMs, is, at times, ridiculous. Everything is magnified and every sentence scrutinized and I would say that most are just normal people who maybe act a bit more irritated at times which I put down to the living conditions, being in a small space for months on end, with people you barely know and/or dislike. If I was in that situation I would probably snap and I bet people would hate me:laugh:

Princess 16-03-2011 02:51 PM

Everyone I know who have met Josie(and John) have said they're lovely people and go far and beyond to give enough time to their fans and make sure everyone gets what they want. Sure they've made feck loads of money out of being in a house for a few months but honestly I don't see anyone who would turn down money for anything they've done. They're not fricking monsters, they're just lucky BB contestants who seem to get hated on for some unwarranted reasons.

I actually said in my post that "unless you have certain criminal convictions" you will not be refused a tourist visa which I believe allows you to stay for 3 months on a visit/holiday, and I speculated why John James has not taken her back to Oz with him to introduce her to his friends and family.

I don't "hate" Josie, she's not worth my hatred. However, I thoroughly despise her and my use of the adjective "vile" by the usual definitions is, in my opinion, a perfect description for Josie (offensive to the senses or sensibilities; repulsive; disgusting; cheap; worthless;degrading; low; mean). The fact that you have an opposite opinion is of course, your prerogative.

The HMs put themselves up for public scrutiny and criticism and I would disagree that some of their behaviour was "normal and everyday" - at least not to me. I disliked Josie's manipulation of every situation, portraying herself as a victim, and guilt tripping others; I despised her spitefulness, her blatant lies, her falseness and faux humility, when she is clearly a very egotistical person. You and many others may have viewed her very differently, but I am not alone in my analysis of her character. The whole point of Big Brother is that it is essentially a popularity contest is it not? In other words the viewers are invited to "like or dislike" the HMs. However, the way the whole show was centred around the "romance" deprived other, in my opinion, more worthy HMs, of more airtime and therefore more opportunity for the viewers to get to know them.

The whole business of Josie being handed a place in the final (thereby avoiding the vote that week), and then the way the voting was changed in the final elimination was all designed to eliminate any serious competition, and put through the boring people like Dave, Andrew, JJ2 and Mario, none of whom had any chance against Endemol's chosen winner. Just look how she crumbled in the CBB house when she didn't have her lapdogs around. It made a mockery of BB11 when she so casually threw away such an opportunity - seems you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

As regards criminal convictions - I have no idea whether Josie has any, but I am entitled to speculate whether she does or not, and would not be at all surprised to learn that she has, bearing in mind she was quite happy to give her ex a battering.

I have no intention of further justifying my opinions of Josie since I, like you and every other viewer, formed those opinions through observing her behaviour. It all depends on the interpretation.

Of course, just as you have judged Josie to be a nice person. Each to their own opinion or are you judging others' opinions to be less valid than your own?

I don't need to "get used to it" my dear - she doesn't impinge on the world at all in any way, only for those who actively seek her out. She's remarkably easy to ignore otherwise, and for me that's the one positive thing I can say about her:hugesmile:

Well seeing as you "Thouroughly dispise" her i hope she pops up on every front page magazine and becomes a regular on your favourite tv show which more than likely yours is "points of view" or some other pointless programme for the viewing public to write into and overeact to everything and anything.

The fact that you feel this disgust for a person you have never met and has merely appeared on a reality tv show is slightly creepy.

This is TIBB is it not, where people who are interested in Big Brother post their views on present and past housemates, both ones they liked and those they didn't? I actually find the hysterical reactions to any criticism of the dismal duo by some of the JJ&J supporters a lot more than just slightly creepy, I find them bordering on the obsessively psychotic. I seriously am beginning to think some of them require urgent psychiatric help judging by their twitter following alone.

I can hardly see Josie becoming a favourite on Coronation Street or Downton Abbey, so I won't be losing any sleep over that possibility:laugh: As for being on the front page of magazines, I have better things to spend my money on than trashy mags whose target audience are people who usually don't have lives of their own.

Meanwhile, seeing as how this website was set up primarily to discuss all things Big Brother, I shall continue to post away to my hearts content about whichever the hell housemate I want to praise or criticise at any given moment, without feeling the least need to concern myself whether my posts meet with your approval or not.:xyxwave:

I'm seriously beginning to worry about you sweetie - you seem to be unable to accept that some people find your beloved vile and disgusting. You don't seem to see the hypocrisy in your position because you are besotted with a woman YOU don't know and about whom you have formed an opinion based on what you saw on BB, just like I formed my opinion. You seriously need to get a grip and grow up. I'm not in the least bit "passionate" about her (what on earth has she got to engender passion in anyone???), but it's more than obvious that YOU are the one losing your rag, and the plot my love. I suggest you go and have a lie down and take a chill pill.:pat:

It really is sad and quite disturbing that you think it's okay to personally insult fellow FMs just because they have expressed an opinion you disagree with. That's a really immature and childish response but no doubt you will eventually grow out of it.
