I bet the housemates do what they begun doing in later seasons;
They'll save up on the booze and keep it all in the fridge until one night and then just get completely and utterly smashed.

And it wouldn't be Big Brother without the inevitable hiding of the almighty one can of cider under a bed.

I suppose thats better than them just having a pint each every night and not getting anywhere

I loved when they did that, & just have a right laugh one night a week, it was great to watch, i seem to remember BB9 were famous for doing this.

This one hundred times over.

**** the morals of teenagers watching and copying. :)

FFS Fight Night was so tame to the reality shows in America where they have actual punch ups.

According to The Star, no. And if they do go back to basics, most definitely not.

So you didnt enjoy fight night? Or Brian Belo and Charleys raging argument?, Jade and Adelle over verruca gate?

Watching people fighting and making tits out of themselves is very entertaining.

Why wrap them in cotton wool if this is supposed to be real life then they should be allowed to have booze just as they would outside the house.

You make a very strong point for more alcohol being allowed, good examples of some of the most popular conflicts.

The one I have to support totally that you make is that they should be allowed to have alcohol as they would outside the house,if people didn't like the way they were under the influence of alcohol they can always try to vote them out.

Stacey. 10-04-2011 06:31 PM

I hope they give them a lot more this year :amazed:

Tony1111 11-04-2011 01:32 AM

You have to think of the situation if you live with 11 others the agression builds and tension starts then the only way to escape it is the psychological need to drink what leads to the way out for many people. In the house you are never alone and seperated from society and your family constantly paranoid about what is going on so drinking is inevitable and finally we get to see the tension release and who is fake or not. It is all the way the public interfene. :D

Tom4784 12-04-2011 10:33 AM

I think alcohol plays an important part in BB, before they got scared to be controversial they used to always plow the HMs with drink and it was always more entertaining for it.

Beastie 12-04-2011 11:25 PM

I should have guessed Joe Joe would do a thread about Booze

Anyway yes.. f uck Ofcom!! Give housemates plenty of Booze!! Okay.. I am not saying like an unlimited bar they did in the early series!! But still.. give them plenty.

STOP PUSSY FOOTING AROUND.

Doogle 12-04-2011 11:32 PM

They should definitely have a lot of booze.

As much as I enjoyed BB11, after seeing previous HM's drunk on YouTube it was no contest.

Zippy 13-04-2011 12:21 AM

I don't think the occasional booze party should be a problem. Its not like theyre ever permanently drunk. Its just for a few hours here and there. They still have to mostly entertain when sober. Well, those that can.

InOne 13-04-2011 10:19 AM

Just should let them buy their own off the shopping list, and actually deliver it all to them. And then every weekend throw a massive party or something.

Niamh. 13-04-2011 10:20 AM

yeah, I think they should, it always gives us a bit entertainment /drama

_Seth 13-04-2011 10:40 AM

Alcohol should be given every eviction night as a regular occasion.

InOne 04-08-2011 01:58 PM

Any update on this seen as we're getting closer? :suspect:

Sophiee 04-08-2011 02:01 PM

I hope they're allowed more alcohol this year. the amount they had last year was silly.

bbfan1991 04-08-2011 02:03 PM

I hope they're allowed more alcohol but BB will definetly be keeping a strict eye on the distribution because they certainly would not want a repeat of BB5 and some people can get very volatile, aggressive or emotional when they have had one few too many:).

Joelle. 04-08-2011 02:04 PM

If Desmond wants high ratings, he will give them booze on tap and make sure they get plastered every night. Wouldnt be surprised if they installed a bar available 24/7. With no live feed they can obviously afford it.

Doogle 04-08-2011 02:22 PM

But then C5 have no reputation with BB yet bar adverts and stuff, so I dont see a problem with them giving the housemates booze, cos they have nothing to lose really :joker:

Personally - it's about time they had a booze free house - if people can't come alive and have good fun without getting tanked , it's a pretty sad day.

If I want to watch that...... I can go to any town centre any night of the week and watch it for real, without the benefit of editing.

King Gizzard 04-08-2011 02:44 PM

Sorry if probbly been mentioned but isn't there a certain amount theyre not allowed to give more than?
