Over 60 I would consider old. When you're ready for retirement.

45ish to 60 middle aged.

And anyone up to the age of 40 is young.

I would say about 60+ is old, but I also agree with the people that said it depends on the person.

Marsh. 08-05-2011 05:38 PM

Yeah, it depends on the person.

Some people in their sixties are hunched over, zimmer frame and take forever to move around. Have several health problems etc.

Whereas there's others who are still as fit as they were and move around normally with no trouble (or need for a hip replacement). Like Helen Mirren, she's not your average 65 year old woman.

65+

Life expectancy is too high now for it to be anything less.

However
past it = 25+

Kerry 08-05-2011 07:34 PM

Depends on the person. I'm 33 going on 17 for instance

Going to start using it more often

It'll be awful when I reach my thirtieth birthday, I was having existential thoughts from turning 20, nevermind 30

I think a lot of people confuse middle aged with being old. I'd say 65+ is old.

I'm dreading turning 30 :bored:

I have about 6 years to go, but I already hate birthdays

Kerry 08-05-2011 08:02 PM

Just reminded me of something my Grandad said to my Nan. He said when she hit 60 he was swapping her for two 30 year olds

I was ok with my 30th birthday, my 31st was worse for some reason :/

I think when people retire they're old. I think that's 60 or 65.

_Seth 08-05-2011 09:19 PM

30-35+

25 is the age at which the human body reaches its peak strength. There is no seriously steep decline until about the age of 35-40, but still... all downhill from there.

Sounds grim I know, but I'm 25 next month and have to get used to the idea.

So you have less than 10 years outside of school being "with it" and then have 40 years of being past it before you reach old age?

Nut.
