Totally different to chatting to someone and it leading to something more IMO.

Joining a dating site with the sole intention of finding 'that special someone' is quite sad in my eyes

Not the sites no. My cousin is on one and it's filled with loads of dodgy Eastern Europe women. They're the only ones that reply lol

Thanks Naimh - for about the first 5 years it was all pals stuff, but my partner absolutely hated her guts (I'm split from partner). About year 7 she told me she loved me one drunken New Year!

Altho we chat live, talk live, talk dirty, I've never met Cec in real life.

Not a dating website, but I sometimes think it is bad what I've done - hence my apprehension and looking at this thread in angst!
