Disappointed but the trouth is outed. He's been extremely foolish and a coward to try and cover it up, feel sorry for his wife and kids but perhaps he had already confessed to his wife as rumoured now? Besides no-one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes including celebrities but hiding behind the courts is stupid and he'll deserve the backlash. As for United fans, I suspect most will be disappointed but on the pitch he'll have the support still!

Jeez anyone would have thought they had murdered someone, more important news out there:rolleyes:. Plus had to laugh at some people getting annoyed at his kids being at OT yesterday when it's common for players families to be on the pitch at the end of the season:joker:.

Good post bbfan1991,very balanced and puts things firmly into perspective.

It wouldnt have though. Everyone would have just seen it as another footballer screwing around. Whats damaged him is his behavior regarding it all. Threatening to sue 70k people and that  He has gone on like a total dick and now deserves everyone thinking hes a joke

"Who does he think he is ?"

Poor Imo may be dumb, but he's the dumb-ass that's shelled out £100k's to look like a t**t ..... :joker:

Jords 24-05-2011 01:09 AM

Id have more respect if he just came out with it and apologised rather than trying to hide it, do the crime pay the time, coward!

Grimnir 24-05-2011 01:13 AM

this story is not really about ryan giggs

it more about the sick and twisted society we live in today

everyone is taking moral high ground, abusing him and ridiculing him, the story has been sensationalised beyond belief

all of a sudden we supposed to forget what a fantastic footballer and ambassador of the game he has been throughout his career, because he had an alleged affair?

what about the concept of forgiveness, understanding, compassion for other people?
all these ideas are lost on people today

a wise man once said let he who is without sin cast the first stone

the twitter spastics and media machine are far more harmful to society than one man's moment of weakness

if ryan giggs has indeed had an affair its none of anyones business accept him and his wife

his wife may forgive him, she may leave him, its entirely her decision

i guarantee the majority of people on this site have done far worse than giggs is alleged to have done, yet none of you have come anywhere near what he has achieved in football

So he's a good footballer. That makes it OK to screw around behind his FAMILIES back?

Vicky. 24-05-2011 01:17 AM

Meh. I cant kick a ball to save my life. However I wouldnt have an affair, pay a judge to cover it up, then threaten to sue random people who mention my name after that.

Kerry 24-05-2011 01:22 AM

Maybe if we all become pro footballers we can all have affairs. Or surgeons - that'll make it OK yes? TV presenters? Is that acheiving something so it's OK? Hang on, I acheived becoming a Mother, maybe it's OK now to screw someone else........

Vicky. 24-05-2011 01:25 AM

LOL kerry

I really dont think its the affair thats damaged him though. That would have blown over by now. Its the way he went on over it all :bored:

Yeah, whatever his skill with football, he was, presumably, "dicking" both wife and ***** for SIX MONTHS and lying, not only to both of them, but also his fans and sponsors, finally atempting to use his money to bully Imo and the newspapers into silence before trying to take on the whole world .....

King Gizzard 24-05-2011 01:26 AM

The affair as the least I care about, 984389 footballers do it, its just how he's treated this injunction thing he's an asshole

Oh, and now its all out in the open Imogen Thomas can stop feeling so sorry herself, it takes two to tango.

He has made it a whole lot worse for himself as far as I can gather. His tantrums just made people want to know more

He's done a favour for all those other named super-injunction bods though. No-one cares about them now

Ryan Giggs missed Manchester United's open training session on Tuesday a day after being named in Parliament as the player at the centre of a high-profile privacy case.

Giggs was pictured on the front pages of national newspapers after he was identified by a member of parliament as the footballer who had gained a High Court injunction preventing allegations of an affair being published.

Giggs, one of United's most influential players this season as the club sealed a record 19th English title, is expected to be in the starting line-up for Saturday's Champions League final against Barcelona at Wembley.

Ryan Giggs shows the strain as injunction scandal refuses to go away...

and his wife appears WITHOUT her wedding ring

The strain was plain to see on the face of both Ryan Giggs and his wife today.

After being named in Parliament by MP John Hemming as the player who had used a gagging order to hide details of a six-month affair with former Big Brother contestant Imogen Thomas, Giggs wore a pained expression as he arrived at Manchester United's training ground today.

He was meant to be preparing for a game tonight, but could be forgiven if his mind was elsewhere.

Stacey Giggs, meanwhile, who has stayed silent throughout the scandal, was pictured without her wedding ring today leaving the family home in Worsley, Greater Manchester.

Police were later called to the street where the couple lives after reports that a number of cars belonging to the paparazzi had been damaged.

Officers found that six vehicles had been attacked by a group of masked men who approached in a van.
Bullies and cowards, just like Giggs ..... :yuk:
