Glyn did actually say to Shabaz i dont like being touched by any man gay or not but i think it went in one ear and out the other.....Shabaz should of respected Glyns wishes and said fair enough im sorry you felt that way it wont happen again but noooo shabaz had to be defiant and say im goin to carry on touching you. Theres just no getting through to the man...I know if he was like that with me id lamp him

GlitterEyes 22-05-2006 12:48 AM

Lol plus like Dawn said if it was a girl people would be going mad.

Let's just hope for Glyn’s sake that Shahbaz doesn't go quite as far.

I have to agree with pretty much everything that's been said here so far. And Shahbaz is quite probably the most annoying hm we've ever seen. Little wonder he has to cruise to get himself some action, because the moment he strikes up a conversation, any sane man would run for the hills.

Glyn has every right to tell Shahbaz to back off, of course. But that said, he was blatantly homophobic when discussing the issue in the diary room. And he's a wimp too, because he just let Shahbaz walk all over him and twist their conversation to ludicrous extremes. The fact that he's only 18 is irrelevant. He knew that going into a house full of strangers was likely to lead to a confrontation or two, so to bottle it from a situation he supposedly thought so important as easily as that is really quite sad.

see, i would have put shabaz on his back by now! he would learn fast not to touch me again...

oops, sorry.

yes CharlotteSometimes, totally agree. if that was me in there the 1st time he would have touched me would have been his last! & if he still carried on after me telling him i would have put him on his back! he would learn fast afterwards...

Glyn seems quite innocent and naive and I'm guessing he has never met anyone like Shahbaz before. I thought Shahbaz was out of order (bearing in mind that the five minutes where they were having that conversation is the only bit I have watched of BB all weekend). As Dawn said, if a 37 year old man was touching an 18 year old girl, and she asked him to back off, he would be considered completely out of order if he said "well I'm just going to carry on touching you."

Is Shahbaz going to play the homophobia card every time time someone disagrees with him about anything?

Sunny_01 22-05-2006 08:19 AM

I am not a fan of Glyn in general but that said I really feel for the fella. I dont like being touched by people unless I invite it and can totally understand where he is coming from.

I really think that BB should step in and tell Shabaz that he is not to harass this little fella anymore. To say I am going to keep on touching you is dreadful and you can be sure that had it been a girl he had said it to they would have called him in and told him to back off!

Glyn is just a young lad and yes he chose to put himself in the house but I doubt he chose to be preyed upon by the likes of Shabaz!

James 22-05-2006 09:43 AM

Shahbaz reminds me a bit of Penny from BB2 who was also very tactile, demanding hugs and kisses off of people.

She also had a troubled past.

shroko 22-05-2006 10:22 AM

For his age Glyn handled the situation very well. Shahbaz was so patronising. I really hate it when people do that, No one was said anything about Richard being gay, cause no one cares, yet Shahbaz has to keep bringing it up, " it is cause i'm gay", "is it cause i'm gay", i would reply. "No it's cause your a ******ing w***er!!!!!!!!!!!"

hass 22-05-2006 01:57 PM

personally i wudnt want shahbaz touching me. i knew that when Glyn confronted him about touchin him that shabhaz was goung to turn it around and make out that he was homophobic. i would of just told him straight up, dont touch me!! hes been in the house 4 days and hes touching people. and i agree with what Dawn said, that if it was a straight man of his age touching a young girl, he would be labeled as a pervert!

yer i agree shroko but i would of said "yes it is because u are gay, im not, go and touch up rcichard not me". cant stand him!

It is arrogant of Shahbaz to think he has a right to touch anyone just because it pleases him.

Glyn is entitled like anyone else to his own personal space and only invite those in that please him.

I too think Glyn is to young and boyish to handle a predator like Shahbaz in the manor thet predators should be dealt wth.

My first impression of Shahbaz was that I liked him but now I am turning very much against because of his arrogance. He needs to calm down and respect others feelings and sexuality. Just because he likes to be touchy feely with males does not mean other males gay or not will allow the same.

Richard sems a nice sensible bloke and if anyone can put Shahbaz in his place he can......

Yeah, I agree totally - Why does Shahbaz think he has the right to touch people consistently when he thinks he will - against peoples will?

texbex 22-05-2006 07:26 PM

I dont think he is homophobic they have only been in there 2 mins and he is accusing things already I think I would become homophobic too haveing sum1 lyk shabaz in the house with me not saying I am by the way!!

Bubs 22-05-2006 07:44 PM

I basically agree with everything said!! Shabaz is out of line to think he has some kind of right to touch people!! It has already been said everyone is entitled to there own personal space and unless invited people should respect everyone's private space.
It is absouloutely redicilous to play the "cause I am gay card" if someone does not feel it neccessary or appropriate to be rubbed/stroked/ hugged all the time by someone they don't know at all well yet!!

I am not keen on Glyn but as he is yound and I will say this without sounding as patronising as Shabaz did he has clearly led a sheltered life and not experienced many if any people like Shabaz before I don't mean as in gay I mean more as in the extrovortness type qualities that Shabaz seems to carry.
Having said that I felt he did the best he did anyhow and while still clearly uncomfortable tried his best to describe his reasons although if there is another thing I hate in a debate is when someone saids "can I talk" and when they have finished they still continue to talk over and not let the other have there say!!
Shabaz was doing this during this discussion which annoys me talk about double standards!!

Fangz 22-05-2006 08:21 PM

Although the way Glyn worded his complaint made him sound homophobic, it could just be awkward wording. Whatever his view on homosexuality, it is every human-being's basic right to have a say in who touches their body, and in what way they touch it. The bodily contact in rugby and other contact sports is put in a completely different context to continually stroking someone's arm, let alone someone you barely know.

uberd0g 22-05-2006 08:31 PM

I have a couple of gay friends and they (obviously) accept that touching me in a sexual manner is out of order and would result in fisticuffs.
It's sexual harassment, plain and simple.

Just bringing up this thread to say...

when Sezer was trying to hug Imogen with his clothes off isn't that similar to this?

Maybe Imogen allows him, I don't know?

nah because maybe imogen is intereested and is close his age and finds him quite nice...
and is also str8.... and its also a flirty touch between 2 str8 ppl

glyn and shabaz is TOTALLY different^^

anyway..

no its not homophobic he just doesnt like it...i know i wouldnt and i know alot of ppl wudnt....he just spoke his mind most men would think the same but just not say it probly

Romantic Old Bird 22-05-2006 10:50 PM

Good point James. Sezer is walking a tightrope with his behaviour. Almost sad in it's transparency really. He demands and craves attention, mostly lady attention, but willing to accept any. However, I'm guessing his incredibly intimate behaviour isn't entirely unwelcome, or things would have been said by now.

Shazbaz however is firmly into stalker-freaky-psycho territory in his behaviour and limpet like behaviour.

The guy craves attention like Dracula needs blood. He has some very serious issues to deal with, not the least being that his emotional development is still firmly in the egotistical stage of the toddler.

I fear for him if there isn't a fairly dramatic change soon

Juelz 22-05-2006 10:53 PM

yea shabaz is gettin outta control, and bad thing is we kno we got him til at least another 2 weeks...

hes gotta change sooner or later, or just walk out
