I saw some clips today from her concert on Saturday. She ain't ever gonna change. Surprised she hasn't self destructed by now.

Amy Winehouse has cancelled her entire European tour in the wake of her much-maligned performance in Belgrade on Saturday.

It was confirmed on Sunday that Winehouse had canceled performances in Istanbul and Athens this week after being booed at the Belgrade concert for slurring her words and appearing incoherent throughout the performance.

The 'Rehab' singer has now officially canceled all 12 dates of her upcoming tour, which would have seen Winehouse perform in Austria, Italy, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Romania and Hungary throughout the summer.

"Amy Winehouse is withdrawing from all scheduled performances," the singer's spokesman confirmed. "Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best and she will be given as long as it takes for this to happen."

Following a short stint in the London Priory clinic at the end of May to treat her addiction to alcohol, Winehouse is now said to be continuing her treatment as an outpatient.

Winehouse has yet to release any new material since her 2006 Grammy Award-winning album Back to Black.

Idec about this stupid alchy anymore. :bored: She pisses me off doing this bull**** all the time. Why can't she go away, actually get better then return, record an album and actually tour when she's physically capable? Its like she wants all these headlines. -_-

Iceman 21-06-2011 06:19 PM

It didnt look to me like she wanted to be there so I'd hardly say she wants all this?

Absolutely true. And my sympathies Omah, I know only too well the road you've travelled.

If addicts do not want help, no matter what 'they need' (help I mean) - they need to recognise they need help, and want the help, and want to work at it.

Some simply are too far gone to realise the difference and have neither the want or care.

I hate to say it, but I truly believe this is one young woman who simply will never recognise when she has hit rock bottom. I seriously doubt she will ever fully recover.

I don't think she will either Pyramid.

Same path as others who have come, gone and on their way out: George Best, Gazza to name two. Talented but with their own demons. I see this being a recurring theme and most likely, it won't be the booze it will kill her, it'll be an overdose / suicide or massive organ failure. Sad, but a real possibility.

don't be so ignorant. She doesnt even have a clue what she wants right now. Well, besides her next fix.

The videos are vanishing off YouTube like hotcakes (no surprise) but yes, I did post one the other night

I've found this but it won't stream for me. Think my 'nets on a slowgo

She clearly has the hots for one of the backing singers.

I think the record company and her management have exploited the 'tortured Amy' image to a large extent ever since Rehab, in an effort to iconise her to all the other legendary torchered singers from the old days.

But all this on-the-wagon/off-the-wagon has just made her look boring - plus there's no new product. I'm tired of Back to Black and Valerie now. Where's the new album?

The worst thing to happen to Amy Winehouse career was boredom. And it's now that's happened, so buh-bye.

Plus: We have Adele now.

Niall 21-06-2011 08:41 PM

Jesus I thought she'd be better than the mess she is in that video up there. :bored:

Believe it or not, I think that was one of her better performances of the night...... The one I saw she was sitting on the speakers and alsorts. How she stayed upright I'll never know......

Stu 21-06-2011 08:57 PM

I have good faith that she will recover eventually. Most people do. I know it's popular to naysay and declare that those in the public eye on this path are going to stay on the path because it sounds all authorative and obvious but it's been demonstrably proven that the majority of people change.

Music has far more reformed dinosaurs than dead heroes.

AMY WINEHOUSE has been retired by her bosses and won't be appearing on stage again "for years".

Her manager has finally laid down the law after she sneaked a stash of booze backstage before embarrassing herself in Belgrade, Serbia, at the weekend.

RAY COSBERT has always refused to tell her how to live her life - arguing it's not his place to do so.

But for the sake of her health he's stepped in and has retired her from performing "indefinitely". A source close to the singer said: "It has been hard for Ray to watch her get into trouble over the years.

"There's only so much he can do - but enough's enough.

"She's going away and this time it could be for years."

All the remaining 11 European tour dates have been cancelled and Amy is facing another long period in rehab.

Sadly it's not the first time we've been here - humiliation has become more common than chart success for Amy.

But why does it keep happening? Why can't her family sort things out?

Ask any parent who has been through the horror of having a son or daughter with addiction issues - they will tell you how hard it is to intervene.

But it's time for extreme measures.

Ray has dedicated more than a decade of his life to making the hugely talented singer he calls "my girl" a success.

But he's not her dad or a sibling and how do you tell a millionaire how to live her personal life?

This has to be the final humiliation - she needs an extended break, away from London with full-time care.

It may take years - but she can afford it.

What she can't afford is for the pantomime to continue.

If it does, we all know it won't end happily ever after.

Good riddance .....

Iceman 22-06-2011 12:24 AM

Its the absolute best thing for her though which is good, if she never makes another album again i dont mind so long as the woman gets the help she so desperately needs

Kerry 22-06-2011 12:33 AM

I'm not sure I can see her getting help but I'd hope she would

Iceman 22-06-2011 12:34 AM

So do I Kerry, I hope at least the press wont keep following her (I'm not saying that she doesnt want that, but for her recovery it would be the best thing if they just blanked her completely)

Iceman 22-06-2011 11:18 AM

Amy Winehouse was pushed on stage drunk despite not wanting to perform in Belgrade, according to a witness backstage.

Winehouse was booed at the concert over the weekend after slurring the words to her songs and appearing lost and incoherent while on stage in Belgrade.

The 27-year-old singer has subsequently cancelled all of her remaining European tour dates following the incident, with her team adamant to help the star return to health.

However, Ana Zoe Kida - whose group Zemlja Gruva shared the bill with Winehouse in Belgrade - told The Sun: "Four British bodyguards simply pushed her to step up on stage.

"She did not want to and was making a scene trying to escape them. It was distressing to see, she obviously needed help."

Sounds very much like the youtube clip I saw: staggered onto stage, went over to cuddle into band member, staggered toward speaker, tried to take shoe off, sat on speaker (back to audience), took one shoe off, tried to stand up, staggered all over, tried to take shoe off, bend double to steady herself on speaker. took shoe off chucked it towards audience, went over to 2nd black band member (all the while, band were trying to play her in with drummer - trying hard to smile which then dissapated), this 2nd backing singer that she went to cuddle, he gently grabbed her hand and asked if she was okay. He leads her toward the mike...... then the incoherent rambling started - with her sniffing and wiping under her nose, then picking at her right arm - then started clawing at her left arm.

Completely and utterly out of her head - and I defy anyone to say it was just booze.... the clip showed her looking right into the 'camera' that was taking this particular clip - and her eyes were rolling all over the place.

Stu 22-06-2011 09:05 PM

Booze can do that. I'm not saying she's clean of everything else but I see nothing from her in those clips that booze alone can't do and by all accounts it's replaced crack as her big problem drug because it's the one she can't seem to quit.

Yeah, thats what I saw. Seems it (or most of the show) has been taken offline now

I'm not sure if she was just drunk or drunk and high or what. Definately had a skinful. Part of me wants to say we've all made mistakes. All shown ourselves up at somepoint and feel so sorry for her as she seems very isolated but of course you have the nagging 'try and sort it out lass' :(

Yeah, booze alone can certainly get someone in that state. I've been there many moons ago. Godknows how much vodka I'd drank on that night out but it was apparently fine to throw myself AT a taxi to stop it.....

I almost admire Amy for staying upright :joker:

joeysteele 22-06-2011 11:04 PM

I agree with Kerry and Pyramid and as Pyramid said on another thread, she is in need of serious help, sadly the people she likely has around her are not the people she really needs at this time in her life. How sad and what a waste.

Vicky. 22-06-2011 11:11 PM

This is going to sound really heartless...but I find it hard to feel sorry for people who are in that state via their own doing. And I dont think she wants help either. Needs it, yeah, but doesnt want it.
