Really think the main presenter needs to be a female who is a big fan of the show, and BBLB should be someone who can take the p!ss and joke about. Just seems like they have it backwards. Wouldnt have wanted anyone who was a previous housemate as a main host as i can see them being bias in the interviews, comparing it to their series and not being 100% neutral like i think Emma would have been.

Emma herself was not neutral when she presented BBLB. Why would Brian be biased and who would he be biased for or against?

Brian has always been a huge fan of the show :conf:.

Ey. Especially through Rachel Rice's interview. Davina gritting her teeth when she announced her as the winner.

Even letting Luke chip into her winner's interview ;) Was funny though!

I wish Davina was more harsh in her interviews too!

This is what Brian says on his Twitter (@brianofficial):Thanks to everyone for all the love regarding the Big Brother job but these rumours aren't true!!
BigBroXtra tweeted me syaing:

He's not allowed to say, a certain newspaper wanted to get exclusive we beat them ;)

mj2303 24-06-2011 10:53 AM

it dosnt have to be female but i just feel a female presenter fits nicer than a male one. I find females (withoust sounding stereotpical) like to talk more and would ask more indepth questions, making the interview more of an indepth chat, whereas i think guys would make it more of a straight forward interview. I personally dont feel brian would be a great fit, but thats just my opinion. I would rather channel five used old presenters from Big Brother channel 4 or if that is not possible start a fresh and use new presenters who have had no connection with the channel 4 series. And no i didnt say Davina was never bias but someone interviewing a housemate who has done it themselves i just cant see working as they will always compare it to their own experience and in Brians case it was a whole different show back then.

But in BBLB she didnt have to not be bias, i just think with brians previous relationship with BB he would let that effect his intervies and could see him asking things he wanted to know about no what the public want to know about. Basically i just dont want him as the main host :)

Do you even know who Brian is???? He could rival any female in the talking department!!:joker:

I have always found that Brian is very in tune with the viewing public and what he wants to know would almost certainly be what everybody wanted to know. However, we shall have to wait and see, at the moment he's denying he has the job.

yes i know but i said male presenter would not talk as much in reference to your comment as to why i would prefer a female one. In regards to brian i dont like his presenting style, i think he would let his own BB experience cloud over his judgement of new housemates and their interviews, and i think he would make the interview more about him than the evictee, he is too extrovert for the job in my opinion, i just aint a fan.

BBxtra tweeted me saying that he has to deny it so the papers can break the stories! too bad they broke it first haha

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 24-06-2011 11:05 AM

bet its not even true

AJ. 24-06-2011 11:06 AM

I hope it isn't, remember BBextra is only MrMarky.

we will indeed i mean its channel 5's decision and ill watch whoever it ends up being im just not a fan of the guy and think channel 5 should move away from past contestants and start a fresh. But we will see what happens, he might even prove me wrong if he did get the job and tone himself down.

Personally I think the job requires an extrovert, I'm not 100% this is true anyway but If it is then we shall see!

Emma would have been better but I don't believe it. He said a couple days ago on his twitter that he didn't have a clue?

No it hasn't. Not properly. And that doesn't give you impetus to brag about how you told us all when it is comfirmed either. Nobody will believe it when only one pretty awful looking site is talking about it and that's perfectly reasonable behaviour.

The_Big_Send_Off 24-06-2011 11:11 AM

well the metro story the other day! and now this, i has to be the host now no question about it :P you can imagine him joking to the reprters saying he's got it in the bag because he knows he has :/

mj2303 24-06-2011 11:12 AM

ill believe it when it appears on the channel 5 website or the said confirmed presenter actually confirms it themselves. I mean cheryl cole was a confirmed judge for Xfactor USA and look what happened there.......:wavey:

No it's not. It's MrMarky from DS's site and he used to make rubbish up on twitter like a contract being signed and Davina hosting last September.
