Aye if you're into Rihanna, Katy Perry, Gaga, David Guetta and Flo Rida and all that bollocks.

If you like fantastic music from brilliant 'new' artists and bands - who have since not had a hit since having a 2008 Number One - then '08 is 10 times better.

The only good songs produced in 2009 were:

Sweet Disposition, Never Forget You and When Love Takes Over.

2008 had about a hundred, if you looked at the charts there [especially around Spring and Summer] there was always something new and fresh and different and they were all amazing songs.

2009 onwards, when you look at the charts it's the same old artists clogging up the place with their same old same old bullcrap.

rihanna and katy perry were absent in 2009 (except for 'Rude Boy', a release from 2008's album) and David Guetta & Flo-Rida hardly set the world alight. Perhaps if you mean chart music was better in 2008, then maybe, but that's a very small section.

Flo Rida and Guetta may not of set the 'world' alight but they certainly got the chavs and 11 Year Old Girls in the UK playing them constantly.

Thus bringing us into 2010 - where Music just died.
Although tbf, Summer last year had some good music actually - infact it was amazing.

And yeah I am referring to the charts generally in 2008 - not saying that year had the best music all in all, but just out of the past few years it was probably the last decent year.

Shaun 24-06-2011 05:46 PM

can you please stop saying "music just died" when you know like 1% of it ty
