I didn't mind turning 30.....wait till 40 creeps up on you, yikes. i hated it. My work colleagues decorated my desk with balloons n banners AND I had a cake.

Oh well...... I am still young at heart.

lostalex 04-07-2011 11:18 AM

i think str8 men have it much easier than gay men/str8 women when it comes to getting older.

OMFG,. i'm gonna be single when i turn 30. I'm going to die alone. :(

Age is not a problem

How you talk on here - Matters.

It wasn't meant to be depressing, it was a discussion.

And one day you may very well say those words. Age is a state of mind and how you feel.

was just wondering, being an oldie myself, what the actual age range of members is on here. I love this forum and interacting with members of all ages and backgrounds. Tibb is always lively and fun, although I can't get on as often as I would like as I don't currently have Internet access at home. I like the variety of different forums available and listening to all the different viewpoints, taking part in polls and games etc. The forum does seem to be predominantly made up of teens to twenties, but surely there's also quite a few over thirties, and even forties?!?! I am a single mum, my son is 14, and he keeps me very young at heart.

Would be interested to hear thoughts on this, as members ages are often not apparent.

Don't worry you are not the oldest:hugesmile:I have two boys in their 20's although I'm not going to say my exact age as it isn't relevant and doesn't have any bearing on who I am

joeysteele 04-07-2011 11:36 AM

I'm 19, but I consider age irrelevant, all people have something to say and we can all learn a great deal too from each other.
I am equally at home with kids, my fellow students, all the age ranges of my family and also with people of any age upwards.
People are so interesting no matter what age they are.

lol Joey, only 19, you're one of the wisest people on the forum:hugesmile: I agree we all learn constantly and that should never stop, no matter how old you are. People are just interesting and age doesn't even come into it.

Thanks for your kind words there rhino, one of the wisest,I doubt that very much, I've seen and learned a lot already in life but I can assure you the people around me who know me would say I was anything but wise.I can be seen as a bir of a fuddy duddy but I have my wild side too.:joker:

I guess having 3 much older Brothers, one 10 years older than I am and the others 12 years older and the oldest 14 years older, has made me maybe grow up a little bit more faster in my thinking.

I just love people though and have a great interest in what they say and what makes them feel that way too.

he's not wise,he's patronizing, you know as well as i do that it's easy to say age doesn'rt matter when yur 19!!! he'll be singing a different tune when he's on the cusp of 30.

Can we please stop praising youth?? FFS.

This thread is srsly making me notice my wrists more than ever, the blood vessels really are quite fragile looking.

yes Joey, thats just my point, age doesn't change the person you are, unless people choose to use it as a predjudice against you. I'm not that different from you, I'm guessing in that I'm interested in people and even though I may not agree with their opinions, I understand why they feel that way. I joined tibb just for the BB chat, as I am the only person I know in real life who likes BB, so had nobody to discuss it with. But I have stuck around because I am interested in the topics and members opinions, even though I don't always join in as much as I could. I also never know when to stop talking, as you may have noticed:wink:

Maybe we should flog them all and put them in cages until they're 30, no more than they deserve:puzzled:
