Read on Twitter that 'sources' say the final issue's headline is "Thank You & Goodbye" and it will be 56 pages long, 48 of which are a pull-out celebrating its history

Kerry 09-07-2011 10:34 PM

Yeah, bit dull. At least they could apologise

I got it half right :D but I also thought they'd have the start and finish dates on it.

Putting the Worlds Greatest Paper is silly, if it was the greatest, it wouldn't be canceled.

Quite sad looking at the old paper and thinking it was once a reputable newspaper

Just goes to show how media has changed a lot of things for the worse.

Circus freak, bearded lady is man in disguise.

Town Cryer is caught in sexual sin with street urchin

Local Inn uses Bubonic Plague rats as filling for pies

Horse drawn carriage owner caught up in drugs scandal

I didn't buy the last one.

Is it arse sucky? Is there an apology anywhere?

Kerry 11-07-2011 03:04 AM

I have newspapers from when the twin towers came down. But papers won't be worth anything these days. It's more a memory thing as I saw it all unfold :(

Ammi 11-07-2011 09:08 AM

all the internet campaigns to boycott the NOTW and the disgust at how they've got their stories and they announce it's their last publication and they'll be prining what was it, 5 million extra copies? because everone will want to buy the last copy because it's special. Pleeese, that boycott didn't last long. The only thing special about it is the people who bought it:nono:
