Apparently the blonde girl with the new character is Sherry from the second game.

Resident Evil 6's characters and setting have been detailed by Capcom. Taking place in the year 2013, Chris Redfield's portion of the game will happen in the fictitious Chinese coastal town of Lanshiang. The man currently known as "the mysterious third protagonist" has been outed as a mercenary currently engaged in "a bloody conflict" with B.O.Ws in Eastern Europe. "One day, he's told that he is the man to save the world. Whilst he doesn't understand the implications of this, he does immediately think how much money he can make from it," reads a statement from Capcom. Seen stalking "the mysterious third protagonist" in the trailer, the J'avo, named by the BSAA after the Serbian word for demon, exhibit human characteristics, can understand speech and work together as a group. Injured J'avo also have the ability to regenerate, while major injuries see the enemy mutate into new forms, requiring players to adopt alternative strategies. Zombies, meanwhile, also make their return, but now have the ability to run, jump and use weapons. Series regulars Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield are joined by a supporting cast of characters including Helena Harper, Ingrid Hunnigan and President Adam Benford. Announced last month, Resident Evil 6 will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 20, 2012. A PC release will follow, but has not yet been dated. The game is Capcom's largest ever production with more than 600 staff involved in its development |

My hype's gone down a lot, I was mostly interested because of the survival horror bits but if that's only a small part of Leon's campaign then I just don't care about this game. Wesker was already an overdone villain and now they've introduced his equally ridiculous son as well.
I'm so sick of everyone having superpowers. The sooner they reboot the series the better. |
No one's doing tense horror Zombie games any more. It's all action focused. Gap in the market.
Horror games in general this generation have been lacking. |
I don't think Jake is gonna be like Wesker, he doesnt seem to have superpowers either. Looking forward to Leon's story the most
|
They showed him leaping around and taking on brute-like enemies with his hands if I remember right in the first trailer. It's safe to say he probably has superpowers.
It's such a disappointment, Resident Evil Revelations left me hopeful that they were going back to a more survival horror based setting but it looks like it's just a tiny part of the game. The rest of it's just going to be Chris punching boulders again. |
Each campaign is about the size of RE5's full game apparently
Personally I've accepted RE wont be like what it once was, so I might as well enjoy it for what it is |
A Resident Evil 6 demo is now available to Xbox 360 users who purchased a copy of Dragon's Dogma.
The demo can be downloaded by signing into Xbox Live Arcade, inputting the code found on the back of the Dragon's Dogma manual and loading up the game. The demo, which features three different missions, will remain an Xbox 360 exclusive until September, when it releases for the PS3. Announced earlier this year, Resident Evil 6 will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A PC release will follow, but has not yet been dated. The upcoming sequel is set ten years after the Raccoon City incident and takes place in the infected town of Tall Oaks, as well as China. The game is Capcom's largest ever production, with more than 600 staff involved in its development. Dragon's Dogma, meanwhile, launched in May. The game sees three adventurers explore a vast open world to hunt down and destroy huge enemies. Following impressive global sales, Capcom announced plans to turn the game into a major franchise. |
I've seen some videos of the demo, Leon's campaign is the only one I'm interested in, the other two campaign look more like Gears of War castoffs. I miss the days on Resident Evil when you fought monsters, not soldiers.
|
I'm starting to look forward to this now, I'm not expecting a horror game, but it should still be fun.
|
Just played the demo, Leon's campaign is best
|
Just checked the user scores on Metacritic and this Game is getting bashed, it's scored a 0.5 so far.
|
I've ordered it, the demo was fun although I hated fighting enemies that used guns. It just didn't fit.
|
I'm annoyed at the reviews of this game, sure it's not perfect, but it's a lot better than RE5 (which reviewers loved)
|
I'm liking it so far, I feel the controls are a bit iffy though, it doesn't feel as tight as they did in RE4, the amount of times I've tried to stomp on a zombie only to have Leon kick the air....It's annoying given that the grounded zombies will just lunge at you if you don't stamp on them immediately. I feel the aiming is a bit too finicky too, most of the time i just run up to the zombies and kick them to death.
I like that they've changed how herbs work though. The whole idea that the First Aid Sprays are the only way to recover a lot of health quickly definitely aids in making the game feel like a survival horror despite the amount of ammo they throw at you. |
I'm really starting to enjoy this now, I've just completed Chapter 3 on Leon's campaign and I think I'm gonna try out Jake's for a bit now.
|
I've beat Leon's version of the game and im now on chapter 2 of Chris's version, I honestly don't get the hate for the Game, yes it's got it's problems but it seems like people are taking it out on this Game because Resi 5 was so ****.
|
Jake's second chapter was the only real part of the game I've despised so far.
|
I've started Chris', it's a totally different atmosphere and its action packed, but I like it
|
No....not the rope. Anything but the rope NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO .
