Leona will not make number 1 because not everyone is crazy over her like MM&I is.

To be honest I don't think any of them are up to number 1 standard but I'd like it to be Pixie.

Doogle 23-07-2011 02:45 PM

I'm convinced Example will get #1 for 2 weeks. His song isn't THAT good but he's very popular and 2 weeks seems to be a long time at #1 now

Zippy 23-07-2011 03:17 PM

the one that goes best with my sig

Tom4784 23-07-2011 03:32 PM

I reckon it'll be the Saturdays. Leona can't sell anything without the X Factor, Snow Patrol's main sales come from their albums and Pixie Lott has a good chance but I think Saturday's single has the best shot of appealing to the kinds of people that actually buy singles.

Leona Lewis has been out of action for a while and has no X Factor to boost sales so I expect around #5 for her; The Saturdays will reach the lower end of the top 10 and Pixie Lott'll probably chart around #7/8. So Leona will do the best I think, but none of them will hit #1.

This. Except Pixie will get #1 with it getting loads of promo and being the first song off her album

No offence to Shaun, but seriously MM&I what the ****.

Shaun 23-07-2011 05:13 PM

Yes Doogle you have to :@

Erm. In terms of preference I would put: SP > LL > Saturdays > Pixie
But I think it would probably go: Saturdays > LL > Pixie > SP

Marc 23-07-2011 05:15 PM

Really? Snow Patrol so low down Shaun?

Whyy

Doogle 23-07-2011 05:17 PM

I think we should just get Amy to #1 this week so none of them get #1. /predictable

Marc 23-07-2011 05:18 PM

Well like you said its in a couple of months. I don't even think AW can make it no.1 for 8/9 weeks running

Doogle 23-07-2011 05:20 PM

Well she should :hmph:

Doogle 23-07-2011 05:20 PM

But yeah I still hope her songs chart highly in the next few weeks.

Shaun 23-07-2011 05:21 PM

I honestly think they peaked with the Eyes Open singles  everything they've released since has charted pretty badly

Z 23-07-2011 06:45 PM

Snow Patrol just never do well on singles sales, they're more of an album band. I was shocked to discover Signal Fire was their highest charting single at #4, I'd put that down to it being on the Spiderman soundtrack more than anything. The song's not all that great either tbh, it's the best lyrically IMO but it's a bit boring. The Saturdays have the strongest tune IMO but again, the lyrics are appalling and people didn't bother with the weird wall of noise that was Notorious so I can't imagine them bothering with this either, but I could be wrong.

Shaun 23-07-2011 06:47 PM

Signal Fire  :nono:

Yeah I love it too, I was just stunned that it was their best faring single, it always seemed like one of their more obscure ones to me?! idk

Shaun 23-07-2011 06:53 PM

yeah I forget about it often (because it's not on an album, I guess). Surprised Chasing Cars wasn't the highest, since I think it was the biggest selling single that year?

Lewis. 23-07-2011 06:54 PM

It'll be Pixie or Leona I think...

Locke. 23-07-2011 06:58 PM

I thought Chasing Cars was #1 :suspect:

MeMyselfAndI 23-07-2011 07:01 PM

I loved Chasing Cars

Lewis. 23-07-2011 07:03 PM

Chasing cars only got to number 6... thought it did a lot better than that too - it's one of their most recognised songs.

MeMyselfAndI 23-07-2011 07:04 PM

Where did Run get too

Shaun 23-07-2011 07:11 PM

edit: #5

Z 23-07-2011 07:44 PM

I think Chasing Cars was more along the lines of it featured somewhere like X Factor or BGT, that kind of thing, where people were reminded of it and bought it in droves, other people would see it on iTunes etc and the cycle continued, it always seemed to be floating around the charts...
