Well seen as how rich the FB creators are, and now they've had a heads up, think they can afford to employ people to stop it.

Regarding giving away the date, this lot aren't stupid, they'll having something planned. I reckon they're more than likely just going to try and take personal information, to show people how insecure their data is, with the intent of deterring new people from joining or make existing users disable their account rather than take down the site.
