If it averages at least 1.5 million viewers on Channel 5, then I can see BB being renewed for a further 5 years after thefirst 2 years.

That will take it to BB18 and I am sure if that's the case then there would certainly be up to a 20th series.
It's not reliant on the same people, celebrities come and go and it is still a good idea, revamped and refreshed every 2 years could see it running for a good while on Channel 5.

If it's a rating disaster, just this year.

joeysteele 13-08-2011 11:30 PM

I just cannot see it being a ratings disaster, to be that it would need to fall well under 1 million average.
For the celebrities alone, the ratings will be far higher than that. I just can't see how it will fail on Channel 5, it will be likely the highest rated thing on Channel 5, it will also bring in more advertising to Channel 5.
They will not want to lose it at all never mind after a year or so.

Yeah, BB15 is the highest I think.
Channel 5 can make the show AMAZING, but that still won't change the minds of the 95% of the public which think it's a trashy chavvy pointless tv show which should be banned instantly. I can almost bet they won't even give the launch a go on thursday.

well if the ratings are like 2.5m a night, thats still over double that of their highest rated show. So it depends on how long the ratings stay like that i guess, i'm thinking 5? 10 years??

jaybitches 13-08-2011 11:57 PM

Is big Brother on ch5 still a kid show or for adults ?

Roberts7 14-08-2011 10:14 AM

I reckon 5+ Years.

This.

i think if the 2 years channel 5 milk gets decent ratings of 2mil+ a night beside saturdays i can say they will sign another contract
and even if it does die i can see channel 4 or 5 bringing it back in 3+ years

BigBrotherfan4ever 14-08-2011 03:26 PM

2014 at the very most sadly:bawling:
