So TOWIE fans get another show to watch and BB fans are left with nothing.

Like TV in general we end up with schedules full of copycat shows all aimed at the lowest common denominator viewer.

What if Jedward aren't in it!

People on here saying "lost all excitement for the show now" and "hope it fails on them now" are just being dramatic. And I don't know how they can call theirselves true Big Brother fans. This has dissapointed me, however I still think that the series is going to be great.

I wish some people would just stop moaning and shut the ***** up!

Stu 16-08-2011 02:27 PM

I'm not sure how changing Big Brother's unique production style to a generic modern one is going to attract new viewers. With a production style like every other reality show out there Big Brother will be exposed for the large amount of non event that it actually is.

I'm not knocking the show but it's previous production style made the whole sitting around thing charming and made it incredibly meaningful and exciting when something did happen. Now my line of thinking is ... well I can just go and watch Jersey Shore. Same production style but with better characters and more than happens in ten minutes than on three months of Big Brother.

Celebrity might rate if they get the right names but Big Brother 12 is already in the toilet. Someone just needs to flush it.

Patricia4 16-08-2011 02:29 PM

It is sad that there isnt any live feed but Im looking forward to it.

True Big Brother fans know the importance of the live feed.

And this is basically a slap in the face to hardcore viewers – what they’re essentially saying is that they’d rather risk losing loyal fans to attract new ones. Why shouldn't they be pissed off?

Actually I'm not being dramatic and I am a true Big Brother fan, so who are you to say otherwise? Fed up of this whole "we've got BB back, just appreciate it" attitude, not everyone is going to be happy with these changes and you need to accept that.

I know exactly how important it is, and yes they have a right to be pissed off, so am I! What I'm saying is... Saying they've lost all excitement for the show and that they hope it fails means they don't want it that badley. This is because if it does fail the contract won't be renewed and we won't have it at all. :xyxwave:

Completly know and agree with that, but you are being dramatic and just rather annoying. :xyxwave:

But why should hardcore fans want the show back and support it when Endemol is willing to alienate them so they can cater for newer fans? There's no reason they can't have a live feed and mobile video clips.

michael21 16-08-2011 02:46 PM

live feed is what make Big Brother stand out from all the other shows

100% agree with you Matt.

channel 5 are only doing it to themselfs they cang blame anyone eles but they have lost alot of veiwers by this decision and if its that xfactors going to turn imto more of a fame academy then thats going to be a huge slap in the face for fans.

IMO this has Epic Fail written all over it.but does prove one point Endemol are 100% to blame for all this Is anyone really shocked though?

We had the feed back last year only for 3-4 hours at a time of Josie gibson becoming one with the duvet.chances are endemol already know who they want to win BB12 and will edit that person in a manner to make sure that win is seen.God help the poor sods who still vote for this ???

If figures are low enough expect either a massive Midseries reboot (like they did with BB germany).tbh im glad I said goodbye to Bigbrother last year its a no brainer for me now.Torchwood it is and for me to say that......I dont like trashy soaps never have and sadly BB has just become another trashy Soap.:(

BB has never sunk below a million i think the lowest rated episode was on a Saturday for BB10 which got 1.8 million

JohnnyBB 16-08-2011 03:04 PM

channel 4 must have goten concernd by bb10 otherwise they wouldint have given internet streaming for bb11

BB had a different creative team and production company that year.

Remarkable listened. Initial so far have ignored fans.

Its in the toilet because? Like it has been said, not everyone watches the live feed and it isn't the most important aspect of the show. I know you want the choice but still. We will see how the highlights show goes. It could turn out not to be anything like that essex show.

oathbreaker 16-08-2011 03:33 PM

Cbb will be fine and think will do very well (if the Hm's are good)
Bb12 is another issue and will be the big story of BB coming back I think its going to break records for all the wrong reasons.

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s149/...ated-ever.html

this story sums it up.If this was on C4.If the new look BB (bb12) fails to keep those casual viewers they want and they lose another crop of livefeeders my money is on figures being what 650k? for a h/l show and 1.2 million for evictions.
