It just so happened one of the US channels aired a few of the UK 'Gypsy' reality TV episodes and I think it caught on with Americans .. a few friends were asking me about it lol

Being from the US, IMO Tara is definately the most famous over here(although shes become pretty do-nothing, z-list, trainwreck the last 5+ yrs). I may have seen jedward on youtube when they were on xfactor, but 99.9% of ppl over here wouldnt have a clue who they were, along with the rest of the housmates. I've never heard of pamela hasselhoff, and shes an american LOL. I don't think she was ever famous here, at least not in my time, maybe in the 80s. Shes the least famous american to be on CBB, i'd say.
Tara maybe the best American BB signing of all-time, but if you're going by name recognition in america(not worldwide), dennis rodman would win hands down. IMO it would go 1)Rodman, 2) Tara Reid, 3)Coolio. although i may be forgetting some americans of CBB past. Rodman's peak of popularity in america dwarfs tara reid's tenfold. Tara's best known for American Pie, her nip-slip on the red carpet shortly after a boob job(hence the family guy pepperoni clip above, LOL classic), and her short lived Taradise show on E! which basically had her going to exotic places, gettin wasted-drunk, and saying dumb things(it was canceled not too long after it began, and became a punchline for late night jokes.)

I thought of latoya and jermaine, but figured the three i ranked became famous because of something they did directly, instead of being famous because of michael and a lesser extent janet. Although jermaine may have been famous during the jackson five years. before my time, i only know the tabloid jacksons of the ninties LOL Forgot about Mini-me, Vern Troyer, he'd probably be up there too. I may have given coolio too much credit, he's about the same level as sisqo, one mega-hit song and then nothing for the last decade or longer.
