I like him and think he could win this, but he is picking up Darryns grumpiness unfortunately.

Bojangles 01-09-2011 11:07 PM

Loving the Padster.Come on Paddy me boy.

Kerry 01-09-2011 11:10 PM

Everyone will have bad points that you yourself won't agree with. My best mate adores Jedward. I'd like to murder them. Doesn't stop me thinking the world of her

Jords 01-09-2011 11:10 PM

Hes not overally homophobic nor sexist.

Paddy has a completely different way of life and Im pretty sure in his world hes not deemed sexist its just their thing, and I think many people are slightly homophobic (esp. men) and I dont think its bad of them. You cant help feeling uncomfortable about something as long as its not acted upon in a negative way.

Bojangles 01-09-2011 11:13 PM

I think Paddy is missing his family and way of life big time more than any of the others in there.

well I stopped watching monday

but from what Ive seen I can see he's likeable on the surface. But when I think what lurks beneath I find it very distasteful tbh. He certainly doesn't pass close scrutiny.

I don't think somebody with his fundemental character faults should win but I can't say I dislike him from how he comes across on the show.

Absolutely, as he said in the diary room, these are not his people, he isn't used to these type of people,he is missing his family.

Suze 02-09-2011 09:13 AM

Well, he knows where the door is if he misses them that much. Don't care for walkers, but if it is getting too much for him then nothing stopping him walking, unless he is more interested in trying to win the show than he lets on.

Livia 02-09-2011 09:16 AM

It's taken me a long, long time to actually like someone enough to want them to win over all the others. I've chosen Paddy. He's not the sharpest pencil in the box, he'd tell you that himself, but he seems to be quite honourable. I think he's the only one in the house who is being completely himself. Mostly I like him because Paddy doesn't seem to bull****, while every single other person in there does.

joeysteele 02-09-2011 09:23 AM

I still don't mind him but shopping in Asda early this morning,I was listening to the staff going on about CBB( very good opinion barometers Asda staff, they got all the eviction predictions right last year as to BB,even Ben's surprise eviction),a good few of them said they had gone right off Paddy for his aggression last night towards Bobby.
I think he may have just made a big error coming across as threatening just for someone saying he was mumbling.

billy123 02-09-2011 09:27 AM

Its hilarious how people hate on alpha males its very revealing seeing weaker males get snotty about him
He is a proper alpha if you cant take the heat dont get all whiney about him!
He is a no messing good honest proper man he respects people that respect themselves and those around them.
He has no time for weasels.

Well done, Joey, I struggle to make it to the kitchen before midday and you've been to Asda!

I could quite imagine that wouldn't sit well with a few, the slightest thing can turn a BB fan off a housemate in no time. And I wouldn't be surprised if Paddy's moods get worse now and he turns into Darryn's twin for real :joker:

I wasn't surprised by Ben's eviction, I mentioned at the time on DS that it would be riskier for Ben to be staying when there were three or four up, as it would be easier for the twitter lot to go against Ben, leaving the others forgotten and overtaking him then.

Livia 02-09-2011 09:28 AM

Good morning joey.

I think Bobby is extremely smug, and last night asking Paddy not to mumble was not the first time he'd spoken down to him. Bobby had it coming. The ironic thing is that Bobby is best mates with Lucien, who is an actor, and yet mumbles so much they call him mumbles.

Thank you Ammi,Good morning,I like to be up and about ready for what the day brings.I also though like shopping when I have to when it's quieter in the Stores.:joker:

Good morning to Livia and Suze too. I agree with Suze that Paddy's mood may get worse although they are now only 6 days away from the last day and also I totally agree with Livia as to Lucien too.

I just keep asking the same question as to Lucien, he says to the others,he would love to join in with the twins in their antics but Darryn would frown down on that!! What has Darryn got to do with whatever Lucien does,or what has Darryn got on him. Lucien is a real strange one.

No matter how smug Bobby is, Paddy still doesn't have the right to get annoyed with him because he likes someone that he doesn't. And he was mumbling, he needs subtitles ffs

Lucien is a non celebrity, most people hadn't ever heard of him before CBB. He's trying to change that and launch a career in....em something, he's trying to keep the paps on side to help him with that..........

I don't need subtitles to understand Paddy. I can't understand Lucien half the time and he comes from my neck of the woods AND gets paid to speak English. Bobby should have gone week one, and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

I can't understand Lucien half the time either, hence his nickname "mumbles" nobody complains about that but oh nobody can dare accuse Paddy of mumbling as that's discrimination. Bravo for being able to understand him but he's the only one in there with subtitles so I think it's fair to say that he is quite hard to understand for alot of people.

I don't think I actually accused anyone of discrimination, because it wasn't. Bobby is smug and rude. Not a good combination.

No, I didn't mean you did, but to me, that's how Paddy reacted to the comment. Bobby may well be smug and rude but Paddy acted brutish and rude in the situation as far as I'm concerned.

InOne 02-09-2011 10:27 AM

It just goes to show paddy doesn't have too much social etiquette. Just because Bobby had an opinion that was different Paddy thought he was lying and taking the piss.

Yeah, I can see that. My judgement may be being coloured by the fact I find Bobby so arrogant and it was nice to see him back-peddling furiously.

Well, tbf I was away on holiday and have only been watching since last week. I missed the whole sweat incident and Bobbys been pretty quiet since I've been watching so I'm pretty indifferent to him.
