He was probably over the time allowed and the producer was yelling in his ear. I think he just fluffed it a bit.

Davina was forever fluffing things, so let's not pretend it's something new. ;)

I do however feel we need someone a bit more authoritative than either Brian or Davina for the live show.......... and maybe even for BBBOTS... Emma is OK but no more than that.

People are so dense on this forum.

Brian had always planned to walk into the middle of the stage at the end. He didn't just run away.

Yeah that was my idea of what happened, it seemed like she just took up too much time and he had schedule he needed to keep and needed to announce the final and numbers for people in it, etc...

Sally was able to articulately answer her questions in a reasonable amount of time, and there wasn't a vote for the final beginning after her interview.

it takes 1 second to give a hug

cookiemonster 03-09-2011 12:17 AM

he couldn't really give her a hug coz she was sitting down and he knew she just didn't want to. he says on the offical website he wishes it hadn't ended like that but it's not his fault if Tara got in a huff is it?

i think you all need to cut him some slack. he's new at it.

Check out is blog on YouTube, he explains what went on.

He did basically just get up and run.

Totally right, she does take too long to make her points. mind you she's rather like me in that.

I'd have got up and left her long before Brian did - through sheer boredom!

It was cringeworthy and unprofessional, especially how he just walked off in the end.

Well if the producers think so, he'll get a rap across the knuckles won't he?

But it was probably the producers who told him to cut it short - quick - anyway.

That won't happen due to the fact that the show has gradually dropped down the scale in its target audience. It's now a teen aimed show with smutty jokes and lightweight substance, no serious journalistic/presenting talent needed anymore. No more psychology analysis of housemates or anything.

Agreed.

I hated the psychologists show with a passion. It was so boring, and they talked absolute ****e :bored:

I thought he did really well. I was very impressed with him. I'm amazed, coming online this morning, that anybody thinks he didn't.

you must be joking? Tara looked like the tw@t? i don't think so, she made brian look like such an amateur. he was so out of his league, and proved by BB needs a PROFESSIONAL interviewer. Brian totally FAILED last night.

Tara made perfectly valid points, and you could hear the people in his earpiece panicking because she mentioned the lack of live feed. Brian panicked and ran.

This.

I loved the way Brian did the hand action gesticulations with the facial expressions at her, then brought the interview to a halt to go join the main external audience.

That's live TV.

Perhaps if Tara learned to speak at normal speed, instead of her deathly slow drawl she has when she has to put a few basic words together to form a sentence, it might have helped.

of course, she had difficulty speaking anyway: due to her massive petted lip banging off her knees, having seen how she could come across in her clips.

Ye gotta luv BB !!1

Bojangles 03-09-2011 10:58 AM

Tara must be every presenters nightmare to interview.

Tara was just too much to handle for him. She has no time for his campy antics whilst she was telling it how it is and good on her. That stupid finger wag he did as well :bored:

No wonder he ran off, Tara destroyed him :joker:
