It doesn't....at all. I have been told the same thing. Bizarrely ... I wear specs, and I like wearing them as opposed to contact lenses - and a guy who I got to know via a friend - who got to know me - said that he'd be intimidated (a) because of my looks and (b) because he felt the specs put up a barrier....even though he could see my eyes; it felt as though they were a barrier as such - in that it showed I was confident to go out wearing my specs, and that came over as me being a very confident type.
He had learned by then that that wasn't quite me..... I come across very confident: when in fact, there is much to the opposite.
That said I do find that Louise is playing up to it far too much.........
