You ahve to be a good gameplayer to do that. Makosi was able to scheme, but smart enough to not get nominated. She woudl deserve to be in the final, being the character that she is, if she was able to avoid nominations. Every one knows, if you are sketchy and scheming in BB, the public wont like it so much. SO you have to stay clear of evictions, or at least set up someone else to be worst than you are. :)
