Looking back Gamu was immensely overrated and I hated Katie with a passion but without her last years would have been boring with no one to hate. Same with Frankie this year, I hate him but I'm secretly glad he made it for that reason. I always need someone to despise.

But yeah, Gamu was autotuned in her audition if I recall correctly, and she wasn't the best, but she was better than Katie vocally.

And I agree at the time I was absolutely raging at Simon for choosing Jedward when he claimed to hate them. But I have been following Lucie (not literally, I mean on FB and Twitter) since the show and she seems to be doing alright. Even if she hasn't had like 7 number ones :joker:

I enjoyed Lucie going over Jedward. She was my favourite girl that year but it was obvious for business reasons Simon and the producers wanted to keep the twins in for a while longer.

There was only 0.4% between them that week (Jedward 9.2, Lucie 8.8)

Oh if we are counting The Live Shows then Katie Waissel being kept in over Aiden Grimshaw was the worst decision ever on so many levels that it would take me a year to write down.

I preferred Katie over Aiden:joker:.

Sophie is great. Feel bad for Mel :(

I wanted Melanie to get through, however Sophie is good. Melanie might benefit from improving and coming back next year instead:).

But even you should be able to admit that Simon only kept her in for controversy surely?
