I hate south park because It all revolves around that self-loving brat Cartman. It stopped being funny when they stopped killing Kenny off
Family Guy i still watch it's okay
Don't really watch the simpsons but i'll be sad if they do cancell it
LOVED the movie

Jordan. 05-10-2011 02:07 AM

As much as I hate the new episodes I'd still be really disappointed to see it cancelled.

swinearefine 05-10-2011 03:23 AM

I've never cared about the Simpsons. Family Guy up until a few years back was amazing, and South Park is still good, though.

Tom4784 05-10-2011 12:48 PM

I've got more chance of crapping diamonds then Simpsons getting cancelled over this. It's too much of a behemoth for Fox to cut it down as it still does the business on a regular basis.

Jarrod 05-10-2011 12:52 PM

The Simpsons is one of those programs that's always been there in my eyes. I'd be sad to see it end. I like them.

Niamh. 05-10-2011 12:54 PM

I haven't watched the Simpsons since the 90's I reckon, maybe it's time to call it a day now?

this.

RichardWells 05-10-2011 02:15 PM

The Simpsons is still good and still makes me laugh a lot so I'd be sad to see it go.

Boothy 05-10-2011 02:19 PM

I still watched it religiously on Sky1 when I was at home.

I'll be disappointed to see it cancelled.

'Conor 05-10-2011 02:21 PM

I'm sure if its cancelled they will still do re-runs

Whether the stars take a salary cut or not, there won't be many more new adventures in the town of Springfield.

Fox executives told The Wrap on Wednesday that even if the voice actors behind the iconic animated show "The Simpsons" take a massive pay cut, the show is no longer profitable as a first-run series and will end after next season. If the actors don't agree to a cut, this season, the show's 23rd, will be its final batch of new episodes.

The Daily Beast reported Monday that the actors were facing a 45% cut from their $440,000 per episode salary, which would take them down from $8 million to just over $4 million; they countered with an offer of a 30% cut but with a small slice of the show's backend, which includes merchandise, syndication and DVD sales. The executive told The Wrap that any agreement would only be for one more season.

Producers for the show have already taken a pay cut to keep the show going. Fox released a statement about the show's tenuous financial situation on Monday.

Quite sad to hear this, Simpsons is an iconic show and I didn't think they would cancel it. Still I think it will leave behind a huge legacy.

Jords 07-10-2011 12:05 AM

What a barbaric idea.

Doogle 07-10-2011 09:44 PM

Cool, never watched it much as a kid. I watched the odd one but never got into it. I do prefer Family Guy, because it's so horrifically bad and an obvious rip off. It's just so over the top and pathetic and I love it. Never cared much for South Park either.

I prefer American Dad to all of them.

Does Futurama even still air?

Smithy 07-10-2011 09:47 PM

They started making new episodes of futurama a couple of years ago :joker:

The Simpsons is a washed up, has been - bore fest.

It's all about South Park and that rubbish Family Guy now, The Simpsons should just bring itself to a 'graceful' end and go away now.

It stopped being amazing after the movie.

Why is it brilliant news? If you don't like it, you know what you need to do...:bored: Don't like it? Switch it off. Why ruin it for the people that DO like it?

No, the new episodes haven't been brilliant, but it'd be a shame to see it go. I like The Simpsons.

Guess a deal has been sorted:

Quote:

The Simpsons has been renewed for two more seasons.

Fox has announced that the Matt Groening animation has been ordered for a 24th and 25th season.

The renewal follows reports that the show's future was in jeopardy due to a contract dispute between the show's voice actors and the network.

Fox had previously said in a statement: "We believe this brilliant series can and should continue, but we cannot produce future seasons under its current financial model.

"We are hopeful that we can reach an agreement with the voice cast that allows The Simpsons to go on entertaining audiences with original episodes for many years to come."

It was later claimed that several Simpsons producers had indicated a willingness to take a pay cut in order to keep the show on the air.

Fox did not reveal the terms of the new deal with the actors and producers.

The Simpsons first premiered in December 1989. It is the longest-running American sitcom, the longest-running American animated programme and the longest-running American primetime scripted television series in history.

New episodes resume on Fox at 8/7c on October 30 with 'Treehouse of Horror XXII'.

Can't believe its still going tbh, its pretty one dimensional. Simpsons used to be really good and its a good family comedy as well with plenty of jokes for adults and kids alike but it got boring a few years back.

Its on comedy cental now

Marc 08-10-2011 01:32 PM

It can't be cancelled.

No.

Never.
