I don't really think her rapping will divide audiences because it seems like quite a few of the acts are doing it this year...

She reminds me of a past contestant from about 2 or 3 series ago but I can't recall her name at all. Same thing though. Great voice but overconfidence and iirc she was always in the bottom two but repeatedly saved by the judges. Rachel was it?

I didn't think Rachel was arrogant.

The problem is, there's confident and arrogant. She has that "Im better than you" look and feel about her that puts me off her.

It might not be her but she's reminding me so much of another contestant :/

Rachel Hylton (2008)? She was arrogant :joker: But she wasn't in the bottom 2 much.
Rachel Adedeji (2009 I think) was always in the bottom 2 though.

Rachel wasn't that smug and even watching her performances back she was a lot more talented than she was given credit for, but she was never going to do well purely because she was on the year following Alexandra. Even Treyc last year struggled with that, but I think the time is about right for someone like Misha. I just hope she tones her attitude down a bit because she could win and be massive

I got this impression when it was announced she was through, she nodded her head in appreciation to Kelly then there was this look she gave to Sophie or Amelia that looked like she was above them. Very cock-sure of herself.

That's how I saw it.

Amelia on Xtra factor, said that Mischa was like a mother to her. Funny!

It's great when you see something in someone and someone else comes along and sees just the opposite.

I haven't seen any Xtra factor so don't know what any of the contestants have said or who they are close to.

I liked her, found Hylton very 'real' if cocky at times.

How did she? I must have missed something:conf: Personally, If I was up there I think I would have kept my excitement at being through in too, out of respect for the girl who wasn't.

I love girls like Rihanna and Alicia Keys but I'm just not a fan of the "Aretha style" that a lot of black women singers have.
Mischa is a lot like Rachel Hilton from 3 years ago.
She isn't nice to look at when she is singing - she snarls. Her hair and styling is awful.
Kelly has a "sister thing" going on with her, which you would expect.
She is a blatant Missy Elliot rip-off. Surely the judges know, but don't want to say.
....but she probably has the best voice in the show if comes down to power and range.

She just gave Sophie and Amelia a real dirty glare, when she got through, it was like she thought 'HA, I'm better than you both.'

I'd much rather a cocky person than somebody who pretends that they aren't that good but know that deep down they really are e.g. Janet

I think the problem of Janet is not about how good she think she is, it's just that she's a really shy and nervous person, which is understandable. I was like that when younger too. I used to crap myself at the thought, even at uni when doing presentations in front of people and such stuff. So imagine for Janet who is clearly a nervous person at performing in front of thousands in the arena and millions at home.

Like with everyone though she will get better at performing the more she does it. Still nervous which is always a good thing, but being able to manage the nerves and shyness.

Janet has tonnes of YouTube videos of herself singing though. That's not what somebody with a 'shy' personality trait would do. She knows she's good and her 'vulnerable/shy/little mousey/delicate' ways bug the hell out of me.

Same with Leona when she was on; just accept that you're good and stop annoying me :hmph:

I'm sure that's not what she meant though. Didn't someone say her and Amelia got on really well and that she was like the mother of the house?
