I prefer an "alternative" Christmas.

The run up to christmas is the best part, it's the socialising with family that ruins the actual day/week :hmph:

I don't like Xmas with good reason, my dad died of leukaemia on Xmas Eve and my nana died at the end of November the same year, my mum lost both her own mum and her husband within a month of each other, it was horrendous! Between Xmas and New Year I had to return my dad's presents which I had bought him, I spent the money on my mum. Plus this year I am not working, as I was made redundant in April and despite really trying, just can't get a job atm. I will be glad to see the back of this year, though I will try and get into the spirit of things as much as possible, bring on 2012 and hope it is a better year for me.

I LOVE the run up to Christmas, hearing the songs, buying presents, decorations and all that.

Then it comes and goes in a flash and at 11pm you're sitting there pissed, bursting with mince pies and Fererro Rocher thinking "Where the hell did that go?" :P

I'm dreading winter, Christmas I love.

This year I will with family problems at home.

Christmas is my favourite holiday and nothing even compares to it for me. I really genuinely love it. I just have so much fun listening to music out loud whilst decorating my house with lights and stuff. I also really love cooking for everybody and having another excuse to get drunk.
