Actually, to those who have done this, or would do it, would you actually go and dance in your own? Or wills you just stand at the nae and watch people? ... oh dear I feel uncomfortable just thinking about it!

I don't really see the problem with going to the cinema on your own tbh, not like it's a really social thing and with the lights out you won't even be able to tell who's with who or whatever

InOne 15-10-2011 02:18 AM

Only time is happened to me was when my mate let me down when I arranged to meet him in the club :bored: Had one drink and left.

Hardly hear of girls doing it though

Chuck 15-10-2011 02:24 AM

I go clubbing alone probably 20% of the times. It's just great because I know no one is gonna call me the day after complaining about my embarrassing behaviour, I can drink as much as I want, do drugs as much as I want and go home whenever I want.

My best friends aren't nearly as excited and party animals as I am, so whenever I wanna go wild, I choose to do so on my own.

MTVN 15-10-2011 02:27 AM

I was clubbing on my own tonight for a bit but only cos I wandered off, ended up in the karaoke bar :hello:

Chuck 15-10-2011 02:29 AM

karaoke bars

Locke. 15-10-2011 02:30 AM

Yeah I got lost tonight, had a couple of drinks and then came home early.

This thread really has jynxed everyone.

Ramsay 15-10-2011 02:33 AM

I've done it loads
Well like ya see all my friends get too drunk before we even get to a club and want to stay in the leitrim 60% of the time so i usually tell them to **** off and i go on my own
its always better on my own anyway thats what i do on nights out..having to worry about where everyone is is such a trek plus i meet loads of randomers easier when im on my own
but sorry you asked the girls so i dunno why i went mad into an answer there
IM SO BORED:bawling:

I know there's nothing wrong with it...I just always feel terrible when I see people sitting on their own in the cinema, I honestly want to go and sit next to them, and i know that they're very likely as happy as Larry but then I also worry that they maybe haven't got any friends.

The last time I was at the cinema there was a wee old man sitting on his own with his crisps and juice,I got it into my head that he was there on his own because his wife had died and he didn't have anybody else to go with... I couldn't enjoy myself for thinking about it! In reality he was probably there to escape a nagging old bat if a wife and was having a great time to himself.

I would just find it really awkward.

Haha nah I know what you mean, I remember going to watch a film with some of my friends and there was an old bloke just sitting on the end of a row on his ow, felt really sorry for him for some reason even though I bet he was much happier on his own then when I went and sat down next to him

King Gizzard 15-10-2011 02:38 AM

I go cinema on my own

FOREVER ALONE

Chuck 15-10-2011 02:41 AM

Going to the cinema on my own is the only way I can possibly pay attention to the film.

If I'm interested in watching a cool and unknown Swedish film or something I'll go on my own but if I'm just bored and wanna watch a Jennifer Aniston kind ofd movie then I don't mind having company.

MTVN 15-10-2011 02:43 AM

Yeah I think I'd probably prefer the cinema on my own or at least with only a couple of people, whenever I go with a big group there's always some who just get bored and start pissing about and I hate those kind of people at cinema's :bored:

King Gizzard 15-10-2011 02:44 AM

When I went to see HP DH P1 (on my own :bawling:) kids everywhere..so I decided to wait for the second one

Locke. 15-10-2011 02:45 AM

I would never go the pictures on my own even though I always want to

No.. just the whole thing would make me feel uncomfortable and like a big billy-nae-mates.

I honestly can't even think what I'd do with myself. Hang about the bar area and get pissed would encourage a multitude of slimeballs, I can't even contemplate getting on a dancefloor on my own, so I'd probably end up crying in the toilets, on the phone, begging some friends to come and rescue me.

Chuck 15-10-2011 02:50 AM

Cinemas are so single unfriendly actually. :bored:

I used to be like that but then I realised my best friends aren't into the same kind of music I am and I don't feel very comfortable going out with random mates, so weirdly I'd rather go out on my own and just enjoy the night instead of begging my friends to go to a place they don't want to.

If you find people you know do you pretend you're out with other people and got lost or do you just say you're out on your own?

I couldn't go cinema on my own either, but then I'm one of those annoying people who doesn't shut up through the film (and then gets annoyed when other people won't shut up)

Visage 16-10-2011 01:17 AM

I wouldn't go on my own and I'm a bloke. Hell I wouldn't go to the pictures on my own, not because I would be scared, more that I wouldn't want to look a 'Billy no mates' in there.

I have a female friend who regularly goes abroad on her holidays alone. She loves her 'alone' time.

I'd go to ASDA on my own.

I dunno because I have never done it, not round clubs anyway. I would though, which was my answer to the thread :p

I would probably just say I had fancied a look out to see if anyone was about.

Jords 16-10-2011 01:42 AM

-is a guy-

-wouldnt go on his own-

I would feel lame.

Vicky. 16-10-2011 01:45 AM

Used to go out round pubs all the time on my own. But I lived above a pub on the highstreet so pretty much knew EVERYONE who drank round there...was very rare for me not to have met someone within the first 5 mins of being out
