Just because society says it's alright to be discriminating against one social group but not another you shouldnt assume everyone thinks the same way.

Some of us see the hypocrisy in it. Either all groups are protected or none are in my eyes, and seeing as the rules here state all are...

Yeah but I'm not racist or homophobic, neither of them do anything wrong.

Chavs as I see them are just trouble makers, so really I see no wrong in calling them that. I only made this thread cos I heard some of them talking about it at school and how they see this years Big Brother.

Look, your young, I get that, but you need to think about what your saying here. My advice is to stop doing things because 'everyone else' is doing them and learn to have a little think for yourself.

That's like me making a thread 'how asda workers must see bb' just because I heard one or a few asda workers saying they like Tom.

Or 'How gays see BB' because I heard two talk about it

But I would also have to attach a slew of general insults towards them while I do it for assumed behaviour, dress, and speech for it to be really the same.

Excuse me, I don't do things because everyone else does; I think for myself all the time. I just personally have this view on them, it's not influenced by anyone else. I've had so many bad experiences with them that I'm entitled to think that way about them. I do not have this view on them because the majority of people look down on them.

Closing this as some people seem to have got quite worked up over what I thought was quite an innocent thread.

When people are still at school/just out of school especially, chav is just a term used to describe a group of people...the tracksuit wearing generally troublecausing shallow group of kids. much the same as the darker types get called goths, and the smart kids are called geeks. I dont see it as derogatory at all. But clearly some do.
