They are wrestlers that front a professional business that needs to promote itself.

They have set roles... They have said this openly. Jem is the villain and Faye is the goodie.

Everything you saw was to that end imo, it was all intentional. I would expect a few BB fans will go and watch them when they perform in their local community centre or whatever and boo Jem while cheering Faye, as they are meant to.
