Well the similarity is that both housemates have a family member using online media to try and get support for their relation I suppose

Mrs Waggott is as daft and deseprate as her ill-mannered son. A little less time on the computer and a little more time teaching her son to use a knife and fork would have been a better use of her time.

Vicky, its exactly the same thing, except his mum is being blatant about it and Aarons brother is being more suave. But at the end of the day they both want support for their loved one.. So in my eyes they are both desperate, not only Jays mum..... Actually, she is more forth coming and transparent than David, who masks his wishes via a "thankyou" letter in the hopes that people here will keep voting for his brother.

Aaron's brother's plea was just a general one to an internet forum, tweeting popular Geordie icon's when there is no chance in hell they will reply is just clutching at straws IMO D:

The difference there is that David Allard didn't beg people for support, he didn't harrass all celebs within a 100 mile radius to vote :nono:

She is literally begging people to vote based on the fact they were born nearby...she doesn't have any reason to give other than that I suppose :laugh:

I really don't see the problem of family/friends wanting support and votes. It's what these shows are all about :conf:

there is one hell of a difference in a family member coming onto a dedicated Big Brother website: that is used by fans of the show, who will already have been supporters or not - and a family member tweeting individual celebrities - many of whom may not even watch Big Brother - far less want to be associated with it, and the type of person Jay is.

The reason Aaron's brother's post (it was a post, and not a letter!) was well received - either by fans or non fans - was because this IS a site dedicated to the show, and therefore, the housemates - and Aaron already has a fanbase here as well as those who don't support him.

David wasn't on pleading and begging - he was putting over to fans of the show, how things can be perceived to show a person in a light that really is not them (which most probably applies to ALL other housemates too).

It beats the hell out of me how you cannot see the complete difference between what David did, where - and what Jay's mother is doing.
