24bit CD's and DTS5.1

Alright, alright, let me rephrase that, so much more convenient in the car

Shaun 13-11-2011 01:37 PM

I refuse to pay for something that isn't *there*. I just refuse.

Sure.

Lee. 13-11-2011 01:39 PM

I don't have fingernails

And yeah if we go anywhere in the car I take my ipod... much more convenient than taking a pile if scratched cds!

Shaun 13-11-2011 01:41 PM

then again I can't actually find this on a big news site, so it might just be baloney.

For music, I don't care. For films, I suppose I wouldn't care, but if it happened to games I'd be seriously pissed!

Many are not using CD's

Many Still are Buying CD's.

Some enjoy Low Quality Compressed sound of Ipod and the like.

Many Enjoy 5.1 DTS Music and 24bit CD's

Niall 13-11-2011 02:45 PM

I don't really care to be honest. It was gonna happen sooner or later anyways.

Stu 13-11-2011 03:07 PM

Yeah because mongloids who don't care exist.

Scarlett. 13-11-2011 03:27 PM

Bye bye HMV

SoBig 13-11-2011 03:33 PM

I don't even own a CD. Last time I bought a CD was in like 02. Wouldn't miss them in the least.

King Gizzard 13-11-2011 03:36 PM

Still buy CD's if I like the album that much. **** legal downloads! To pay for music, I want to have a physical copy. Not just something that will be lost forever if my laptop gives in

Omah 13-11-2011 03:41 PM

Not bovvered - I'm happy with FLAC (for best) or 320kbps MP3 (for average)

CharlieO 13-11-2011 03:57 PM

This annoys me because it'll make pirating more common and then the law that is going to soon be either passed or denied will come into play.

A law by which the government can monitor every single thing you do on the internet. No more privacy. They will have permission to be Big Brother from 1984.

Smithy 13-11-2011 04:47 PM

I've bought one CD in my whole life :amazed:

But, anyway, fair enough for singles, noone buys them anymore, but aren't the majority of album sales still physical anyway, seems odd to get rid of them

InOne 13-11-2011 04:58 PM

It's a shame, because places like HMV will suffer, and then most DVD's will be sold at Tesco's :bored:

And I've always been careful with by CD's, they're never scratched. God knows what Niamh does with them :joker: They don't scratch themselves dear

It's gonna be the death of the media store, first HMV will go, then Game and Gamestation will die

No.

Half will Go.

But they have Plans to change the other stores
with instant Download Docks.
And CD's and BluRay and DVDs

Tom 13-11-2011 05:39 PM

CDs annoy me. I cant be doing with them cluttering everything and everywhere up. Its just easier to have it on my computer/phone (no I don't sit at the back of the bus with my music on loud, its just for the car so I can just use bluetooth)

MTVN 13-11-2011 05:49 PM

Bit of a shame but I haven't bought a CD in years so I'm not exactly doing much to keep the trade going, I'm more concerned about the death of books and newspapers than CD's tbh
