At the bottom with BB8

  1. BB5
  2. BB3
  3. BB6
  4. BB12
  5. BB7
  6. BB1
  7. BB2
  8. BB9
  9. BB10
  10. BB11
  11. BB8
  12. BB4

Basically quite highly - mainly due to Aaron and Harry and the fact that there were actually more talking points this year than other way regarded years such as BB2, which actually had little drama or talking points just an inevitable coronation of winner Brian. But is remembered with rose tinted glasses and overrated mainly due to Brian D's camp personality and Helen and Paul's romance which I didn't care about. Whereas I remember how dull finalist Dean and near finalist Elizabeth were.

BB1 was only good really because of Nasty Nick.If you take his scheming out of the equation then there was nothing much going on other than Melanie's flirting with Tom and Andy and plucking her pubes in the garden.

BB7 (as did BB8) introduced too many new HMs and had way too many twists. House next door, second chance house it lost a clear narrative.

How can there have been many talking points without live stream? The only talking points were those the producers wanted you to have. Also fewer people watched it which meant there was less discussion. But then you say you prefer a clear 'narrative', which suggests you want the producers to control all discussion.

I thought BB12 was really overrated.

The problem is that alot of the other series have been cack since BB7. For me this year was a return to form after 5 years of crap starting with the appalling all female week 1 BB8.

BB12 would have been better if Mark had stayed, and there was a credible alternative to Aaron (who I liked). Aaron stood out far too much which is what helped him win. It was the Aaron show this year. In the same way BB2 was the Brian Dowling show and BB7 was the Pete Bennet Show. The other HMs just extras to the inevitable stars of series. If you wanted a different kind of winner or someone with an IQ above 60 Aaron was your guy. Even if he was hard to love, there was no way you'd want dull radar dodger Alex or neaderthal Jay to win If they had stuck 2 fairly smart, OK looking, funny guys I am not sure Aaron would have won.

The big problem I have with recent series is that it's less focussed on what happens on a day and more about creating storylines for a soap. So show-mances get promoted at the expense of other (eg last year JJJ were under the duvet whilst Corin had a row with Mario. Guess what made it onto the HL show). If BB12 had been more like BB1-5 (minus BB4) then the focus would have been less on Aaron and Faye and more about how they interact in certain situations eg Aaron, Anton, Aden and Harry challenged Heaven on her beliefs but because this wasn't an ongoing soap plot it didn't make HL show)
