Jam is called "jelly" due to ignorance. The english should then continue to call jelly, "jelly" and jam, "jam".

:hmph:

lol, I agree that Jam is Jam and Jelly is jelly, I'm just saying that Americans are talking about peanut butter and jam when they say peanut butter and jelly :idc:

Novo 23-11-2011 11:10 AM

Well it's not actually Jelly over here... it's Jam. :idc:

Yeah, they do call it that over there, like they call

Scones - Biscuits
Biscuits - Cookies
Chips - Fries
Crisps - Chips

I read recently they are now saying tomato sauce is now one of their five-a-day.

As for eating anything odd I don't think I have, I'm very particular about what I put in my mouth.

Rice Krispies/Weetos/Coco pops with cream instead of milk. SO GOOD! it tastes so nice but so unhealthy. (not as much cream as you would have milk mind)

CharlieO 23-11-2011 11:57 AM

oh and Spider Legs :yuk:

Sandwidges sound nasty

I got 20 bigmacs and 10 whoppers, put them in a tray cooked bacon strips and put them on top. After that I cooked minced beef in spag sauce and put that on top. Then finally I put lots of Jack Daniels on it and it tasted so good!

It was a dare, we all had to eat disgusting foods, mine just happened to be that.

Horrific after-taste.

I ate camel when I was on holiday in tunisia.

We were all inclusive and they told me it was beef.

Was really nice actually, but I felt sick for ages after my dad told me what it was(conveniently AFTER I had polished the lot off :bored: )

Aside from that, have tried dog chocolate buttons when I was a lot younger. And now I have mint sauce on everything...not too odd really

Ammi 23-11-2011 03:05 PM

I have a friend who eats paper when she's sad

Depends what you mean by everything...

Surely ice cream and chocolate cake would be a little odd....

Bollo 23-11-2011 10:09 PM

If we're talking 'foreign' odd then I had frogs legs, snails and squid in France (not all together though)
If we're talking just plain odd then I like apples with peanut butter
