when Kitty was in the bottom 2, she didn't 'connect' with the public, but when Misha's in it, she's an act that is going to sell 100000's of records according to Tulisa

fruit_cake 27-11-2011 08:44 PM

I'm most disappointed in Louis and Tulisa

Thought the public did that and then the judges decided from the sing off performance, no account I see noted of the times Misha B has been in the bottom 2 though so therefore not connecting very well with the voting public at all no matter her performances.

Let's take it a step further: the 'public' only get to determine who is in the bottom two..... the judges still have control on the sing offs. I've said for years that it's a serious flaw as far as the public supposedly deciding: because they aren't...... they are only deciding who gets to the bottom 2. The final choice still remains with the judges - and I don't actually think that's right (regardless of whether I agree with the judges choice or not).

Either the public get to pick - or not, and currently, the public don't get that choice till the finals.

Cherie 27-11-2011 08:48 PM

What I didn't like about the sing off tonight was that it was judged on both nights performances whereas previous sing offs have been based just on the sing off itself.....sorry but people who vote on xfactor really need their heads testing, as with Tesco Mary last year who was voted off against Cher...and the following week they had lined Cher up to sing with Will I Am....that would have been good to watch Tesco Mary and Will I Am...lol ...the judges get the opportunity to manipulate the public vote and that is wrong...it should be whoever is bottom of the public vote.

MusicXian 27-11-2011 08:49 PM

Yeah they need to change this to no sing-offs, Sunday can be a shorter results show and just have bottom of the public vote gone.

It is the very reason why I would never take part in the voting.

I'm really put of the whole X-factor program after tonights fiasco

It's been the same for years though.... this year is not any different from any other year. That's the way the show has been run over the years.

MusicXian 27-11-2011 08:58 PM

Basically the bottom 2 scenarios is like a saving point for the XF production. If it was just bottom of the vote they would have no say in how the competition could run. Look at Misha for example, I dont know, but its possible she could have been out in week 4, something the producers have not wanted. The Misha bully saga is good for the show as well in a way as it gave them alot of publicity. Out of the 4 contestants left (5 when Janet was here), probably Misha still gets the most newspaper headlines with that story.

Tom4784 27-11-2011 08:59 PM

It was okay, a bit plodding.

yeah it's true you're right, ever since Simon saved Jedward over Lucie it's gone downhill imo

No it shouldn't. It only takes one bad week in voting and one of the favourites who wouldn't normally be in the bottom could leave. That'd just cause even more complaining.

Yep.... The same Jedward that he slated for weeks and weeks, and also ripped the arse out of Louis for backing them IIRC, till he saw the £ signs stacking up.....

yeah I know, what a fake Simon turned out to be, I was quite pleased to see the back of him this year, but it justs seems to have gone from bad to worse

well the public could complain all they like but end of the day the choice would be theirs and theirs alone...

It's the same reason why Cher Lloyd's singles have been successful so far despite how hated she is, Misha's very current and she's probably one of the few contestants that could have a successful career. Kitty wasn't as marketable.

But it's not and never has been. Everyone who votes is aware it's the judges who get the final choice. If they don't agree with it and moan everything is a fix when they don't get the outcome they want then they shouldn't vote in the first place.

I quite liked Cher, she was unique and original, Misha doesn't have anything unique or original imo

which is why I dont, never have, never will vote on xfactor because its all a sham, however if they changed it so the public did have control then it might be different, but what is the point in wasting money when the judges have the ultimate decision...up until the final it is madness to vote for anyone as they will manipulate to who they want...by all means vote in the final if your favourite is still there but up until then save your cash.

Well no Cher wasn't, she was just something different for the X Factor, in terms of music there's a thousand girls in America that can do what she did. Misha does what she did but in a much better fashion and is more convincing too, with the added bonus that she does actually mix things up a lot more.

MusicXian 27-11-2011 09:29 PM

Heard there might be a top 2 sing off this year. Judges choose the winner :p

Locke. 27-11-2011 09:29 PM

What a silly thing to say

MTVN 27-11-2011 09:30 PM

Janet >>> Misha
