I'm leaving my body to medical science, dont want to be buried, not keen on cremation,my ideal would be to be left in a remote place on TOP of the ground and left to the elements, although a crypt may be cool, lol

InOne 28-11-2011 04:40 PM

Cremated, to definitely make sure I'm gone

Don't want any of that waking up in the coffin **** :nono:

Ach, push my dead & decomposing body into the sea or something; may as well feed the fishes and help the food chain a wee bit.

Push my body out to sea
Let the Fishies make a meal of me
I'll be dead and gone so what's it matter
serve me to those Fishies on a hardboard platter.

I often wonder what happens if when you die your actually still conscious but just dead

Niall 28-11-2011 06:16 PM

I haven't decided yet.

King Gizzard 28-11-2011 06:19 PM

You must decide right now Niall

Niall 28-11-2011 06:26 PM

Or what? :suspect:

Bollo 28-11-2011 06:31 PM

Fired from a cannon a la Hunter S Thompson style. Then cremated with the ashes forming part of a gemstone for someday to wear as a nice ring... I saw a program where they can do that now..

tbf though, I doubt it's even possible to wake up in a coffin anymore, don't they pump your body full chemicals and stuff to preserve your body now? If you weren't dead beforehand, you'd be dead after that

That's a horrible thought  Doubtful though without a working brain

I guess it's unlikely but although your dead and you might not be able to think or process a thought, it doesn't necessarily mean that your unaware of yourself existence completely

Lee. 28-11-2011 07:07 PM

Hmm.. well personally, I don't care as ill be dead, but having lost loved ones and friends, some cremated ,some buried, I would prefer a burial. I think a graveside service is a lot nicer and its much better having somewhere to visit. I like going to see my grandma; I "sit on her knee" and just somehow feel closer to her.

If you are unable to think or process a thought - how is the person meant to be aware of 'yourself existence completely'? You need to have the capacity to think or process information to be able to be aware of anything.

Body and soul and all that

fruit_cake 28-11-2011 07:54 PM

I mean if anyone has ever been under general anaesthetic, you still know deep down that your there, it's a bit like a really intense dream.

Body wouldn't be applicable - a body needs to have a brain to process thoughts and all that.

Soul - no one knows if that exists. We'll all find out when the time comes..... and I bet there is no such thing. Fancy a wager!

Well yeah, I mean the soul could separate from the body on death, so all your bodily feelings and senses stop working but some part of you still exists. Just trying to be philosophical :idc:

Not taking offer of a wager though I see. :D

GypsyGoth 28-11-2011 08:27 PM

I'd like to be cremated, and I don't really mind what happens to my ashes.
