I think it best we agree to disagree totally on this one.

I wasn't aware you were on prime time tv to be humiliated infront of the nation

A rather low comment but fair enough, it wouldn't have mattered to me though had I been on such a show Kerry.
If I was on a show like Alan Carr's I would likely be expecting the unexpected anyway.
On a serious show I wouldn't though. No,of course I am not on prime TV but at least I have sense of humour thank goodness and to be fair so too it seems does Ruth.

Bollo 28-12-2011 12:13 AM

Just watched it, Jedward are massive bellends and should be put down, its the kindest thing to do

I have no intention of arguing with you on this, nowhere did I imply that in my post, you are twisting my words, I said I had a sense of humour and so too it seems, 'I said', has Ruth.

I made reference to the things you threw at me, like I wasn't on prime TV but nowhere in that post did I say after I said that I had a sense of humour, that you hadn't Kerry.
If you wish to argue with someone I am not your person on this issue.

Kerry 28-12-2011 12:26 AM

Why on earth would I want to argue with anyone? If you consider that an argument it's a good job I'm a mod and can't let rip :joker:

Getting bitchy in here

joeysteele 28-12-2011 12:30 AM

Well, I have said all I want to say so am leaving this thread in case I get accused of saying more things I haven't even 'thought' let alone 'said'.

I don't think Kerry was saying it "just to have a pop at Jedward" or anything like that Joey, it's just that what some might consider to be harmless fun others might think of as unacceptable and unfair

Coleslaw and now a backlash over hair gel now we know why Jedward have some good marketing management..

(I didn't watch but read what happened).

King Gizzard 28-12-2011 12:54 AM

Jedward are up there with Adolf Hitler in the list of most horrible people to ever walk the Earth

bbfan1991 28-12-2011 12:58 AM

Oh they are not horrible people.. I would say maybe annoying and not socially unaware or not considerate towards other peoples feelings but I do believe they haven't got a bad bone in their bodies.

They only finished 11th in the Most Annoying People of 2011, it's a FIX I tell you!:joker:

bbfan1991 28-12-2011 01:00 AM

Ruth Jones is a brilliant actress though:D.

Marsh. 28-12-2011 01:32 AM

What a pair of tits. They took it way too far. I'm glad she took it lightly and managed to laugh about it but you could see in her face when they first did it that she wasn't happy.

Apparently, Alan said after the show they offered to buy her a new dress. However I'm not sure whether "they" is referring to Jedward or the producers.

Callum 28-12-2011 05:34 AM

Just saw it. Why they were ever invited on in the first place is beyond me. Pair of stupid immature brats, Ruth should have whacked them both in the faces or at least shoved the rest of the gel over their stupid quiffs. They get away with so much that nobody else would ever ever get away with but because they're Jedward it's alright. Fed up of them ruining every TV show they appear on. God knows how Ruth kept her calm. Did love her line to the audience about the Cardiff girls and chip alley though.

There was no need to pour ANY at all. Such childish behaviour off a pair of lads who are meant to be 20!

Part of the blame has to lie with the mother too though for being unable to control her children.

Yes but their mother evidently didn't bring them up to have any manners and treat people with respect. They are a pair of brats.

I don't think a comment on a TV show should involve derisions of any of the guests Parents.

Their parents are proud of their twins, however you though must of course know their parents to make such an informed comment on their parenting.

This is a crazy chat/comedy show, all sorts happens on it, everyone else was laughing, to call Jedward creatures and other insulting comments is plain ridiculous.

When I wonder will people who don't like them, start to realise they are booked for these shows because they do what they do,it's what they expect them to do and they oblige by being in character all the time in the public eye.
Much as Rod Hull and Emu, people knew they were likely going to get things spilled on them and attacked by him and his puppet al over the studio, it is what is expected.

I think it's a disgrace that people on here make nasty comments to the parents of Jedward who are in truth nice people. However it seems acceptable to do so on here as to the twins and their family anyway.

I just hope their Mother or Father don't come on here and read some of the nasty things, not just said as to their sons being creatures but also the attacks on them as parents too.
Neither of the twins has done anything really bad or criminal and that is a credit to their Parents upbringing.

Well any normal child wouldn't behave in such a way because most parents bring up their children to treat others with respect. Jedwards parents clearly haven't brought them up this way.

Yes I know all sorts happen on it, still no excuse for their behaviour. Ruth had every right to kick off but being the nice mature lady she is, she decided to be the bigger person and didn't opt to do so.

They knew they were going to be a bit crazy yes but nobody was expecting a stunt like that. It wasn't funny, just cruel. I'm sure if Ruth pulled a stunt like that on Jedward you would find it horrid but because it's Jedward it's alright! Total lack of manners and everyone in the studio found it disgusting. That's why they were booing them.

I couldn't care less if their parents read all of this. Maybe then they'll realise what most of the nation thinks of their sons because they seem to live in a bubble where everybody loves them.

No, to the point you make as to if Ruth had done that to them that I would say that was a horrid thing to do. I would have laughed at it just as I did when they did it to Ruth, clearly since last night was a repeat too, Ruth wasn't bothered about it being left in the show so it would seem she doesn't mind anywhere near as much, as you and others are suggesting, who just jump on Jedward for anything.
They act zany, wild and unpredictable with an annoying wind up streak, it is their act for goodness sake.

You don't like them but clearly TV producers/Companies and other TV personalities such as Alan Carr do.
Like all celebrities Jedward have those who like them and those who don't. I don't see the fairness in personally badly insulting them and calling them creatures and then also bringing their Parents into things, (their parents are 'not' in the public eye).
To me that's pretty low by any standards.

Ruth probably doesn't get any say in the matter, the TV producers choose what's left in a programme. I doubt many people actually complained about it to Ofcom, it's more complaining in general about a pair of brats pouring gel all over a woman "for a laugh". Ruth didn't let it get to her, Jedward can't offend her because she doesn't like them. It's likely she'll never meet them again in her life and she's probably pleased about that.

I wouldn't say Alan Carr likes them, you can't prove that. He doesn't choose who goes on his show, the producers do. Jedward are very current so the producers probably thought it would be a good idea to have them on. Alan's talked about not being fond of some of his guests before but he's obliged to act friendly to them because it's his job to do so.

I brought the family into it because it's clear they haven't been brought up to have manners or treat people with respect. If they had been they wouldn't act the way they do constantly. I get the impression they are a pair of twins who have been spoilt all their life and their parents never bothered to teach them about how you treat other people. I'm not blaming them solely of course but part of the blame has to lie with them, you aren't born to act immature for all of your life.
