If he stays he has a very good chance of winning.

Livia 11-01-2012 11:11 AM

I think he has a good chance. People will - hopefully - soon get tired of Natalie being pushed down our throats; secret task on the first night with loads of airtime... secret task last night with loads of airtime... and the "Oooo I'm scared of Andrew, I am..." bullsh*t.

I think Dirk Benedict would have won it if it hadn't been for the Jade/Shilpa fiasco. I hope Michael Madsen wins it this year. He's my favourite by a squillion miles.

Yes but he said the reason for that was "bias towards the english/british", yet non-Brits have won before

I agree although tbf I do think Jermaine jackson would have won CBB if it hadn't been for Bullygate with Shilpa Shetty

I don't think he would have. Jermaine was showing a lot of Compassion to Shilpa that last week especially and I think that is what edged him into runner up place.

I don't agree, i think Jermaine would have been a total bore if it weren't for the Shilpa controversy, Remember he's the first one that started saying it was racism. Shilpa herself never mentioned racism until Jermaine started whispering in her ear saying "notice what color your skin is, and what color their skin is". Jermaine really stirred that racism stuff. But apart from that he did NOTHING in that house. I just rewatched that season of CBB recently and i noticed that. Can you name any memorable scene from that season of CBB that didn't involve him telling Shilpa how racist everyone is? He really had nothing else to him.

hhhmmm, I don't remember that but I haven't watched it since it was actually on so I'll take your word for it. I just remember thinking he was popular

dirk benedict was absolutely fantastic....but he too was bullied by jade and the horrible mates of hers...yet this was ignored...at one stage they even mocked him because cancer had made him impotent whilst he was having chemotherapy....SICK...yet we brits ignored all that and instead jumped on the shilpa racism bandwagon .....a pathetic argument about coffee beans....ps at the ende of that humiliating nonsense H from steps opens the other cupboard and shows the a bag of spare coffee beans....that was lost on everyone including prime minister gordon brown who thought it was a major incident? we go over the top about soe things and ignore others...we seemm to have lost all sense of perspective or maybe our media has and we allow them to manipulate us

dirk benedict was fantastic...I believe the reason he nor any american has ever won is because we brits especially those on tv always take cheap shots at the americans and there is an under current of anti americanism.

Most Brits are not sheep. American culture is part of every day life and has been for decades... their films, their food, their TV, their music... Every day more Americanisms are being adopted and accepted into our language. I don't watch BB USA but I'm guessing if there was a solitary Brit in there somewhere they would stand little chance of actually winning. That doesn't mean Americans are necessarily anti-British.

MeMyselfAndI 11-01-2012 05:54 PM

For the first two shows I thought he was so overated and dull, But he's not:D. The last 4 episodes I've found him really funny and interesting.

I think the english are anti aerican and take endless cheap shots at them and never get picked up on it...also english people generally cannot take an american take the mickey out of them as we saw when the great jerry seinfeld mocked the royal wedding and the monarchy...the english generally simply dont see this, thankfully I lived outside england for a few years and got a different perspective

the truth 11-01-2012 05:59 PM

also note the americans paid gervais to come over and mock them....would the english do the same by inviting chris rock to replace stephen fry and rip the pis* out of all the luvviees? NOPE

..yes, certainly different. I don't think Ricky Gervais was asked to host an American award show because he is British but because he's funny. Michael's fans like him because he's Michael, not because he's American. Let's not make this something which it isn't

I've lived and worked in several countries, including the USA. Perhaps the USA isn't one of the countries you've lived in, I don't know... I have American friends that still take the micky out of me via Skype and email, and good-naturedly take some stick back. Most people can take it without calling it racism, wherever they're from.

I agree with this to a degree. i think 1 on 1 the brits can take it. But when on home soil, the Brits definitely lose their sense of humour. imho.

the truth 12-01-2012 05:44 AM

I stand by every word Ive said 100%...we will seejust how xenophpobic the brits are or arent by the end of this series.....the bookies have natalie down as odds on fave to be the zillionth undeserved cockney winner of most reality tv show ever staged on these shores....

When Bill Hicks was alive he'd come over here and take the mick out of the English loads. I specifically remember a bit he did about footy hooligans and a bit he did about John Major among other things and the audiences lapped it up. American comics whenever they come over here always have a go at our food and accents (usually generalised cliches as they think we all talk like the Queen or Dick Van Dyke) and we take it on the chin. I didn't see the Jerry Seinfeld piece you referred to but I'd probably have found it quite funny as would a lot of other brits who don't give a stuff about the monarchy.

You do seem to be quite anti-English in the same way you're accusing the English of being anti-American. I think you may just be reading too much into the results of some rather crappy reality tv shows. The Americans that have taken part in them have hardly been the most respected or talented Americans in the public eye, or they wouldn't have been on those crappy reality shows in the first place, so you can't expect them to win just because they're American.

Marc 12-01-2012 09:49 AM

His nomination for Andrew :"because i think he's a ********** spy"

:laugh2:

Bojangles 12-01-2012 10:10 AM

I've now made my mind up,I want either Michael or Denise to win.Denise is brilliantly funny there's no side to her at all, and no bitching.
Michael has a dry wit which I like and he couldn't give a fig about the whole show,
He's just cruising man.

Why is she so paranoid about whether he wants to talk to her or not? If he had a problem with her, he would have nominated the silly moo.
