[QUOTE=rusticgal;4887161]Michael has grown on me but I think he over-stepped the mark tonight.... I know he has said similar things in the diary room...but that was brutal.
Denise has been desperate to be his friend...too desperate after a drink or two...but no way did she deserve that tonight.... I really felt for her. Unless Michael can retrieve the situation then I think he will have caused himself more harm than good!!![/QUOT michael is the only hosemate that told it like he would have in the diary room. the incinsere, 'oh im voting for yoy but i love you. is hypocasy, or just plain lying. he is not my favourite hosemate, but at least he told the truth. |

All these people are in show business. It's a brutal world. If they can't handle a little criticism then really, they should have someone twirl them in bubble wrap and then never leave the house.

:laugh3: Deluded, much? Not everyone watches the trashy "Loose Women" who spend most of their time ridiculing men, commenting on political and social issues about which they don't have a scooby do, and sitting in judgment on all and sundry. |
I don't understand why it matters.
So does it make any difference if they get out and see that you've slagged them off rotten in the diary room? Is that better? |
I think what he done to that poor woman was disgusting. That really really hurt Denise, I wanted to give her a big cuddle x

Like he didn't react the night she sat on his bed threatening to smash his face and raising her fist to his face. How he held back I'll never know. |
I prefered his nom of Denise last week
She’s a pretentious, incomprehensible, drunken b****h!” |
He only told the truth better than all this, "I talk to you the least" rubbish. Any one got a link so I can view it again, thanks

I am copying this post from a poster on DS. It is a very truthful personal view of the emotional issues Denise has and maybe some forum members will cut Michael some slack about his comment last night:
denise... depression... ENOUGH "I've had a look through the message board and felt compelled to write this. There's a lot of comments on here relating to denise and her mental health. I've suffered depression the last 9 years, been hospitalised for it etc etc.... As patronising as this may sound to you, it is true; unless you have been through depression, you cannot know what it's like. I'm not going to single out people with quotes, but some of you seem to think it's something to be embarresed about, or that they know the ins and outs of it because a friend of a friend had it, or, more related to BB, that a sufferer should be wrapped in cotton wool despite them feeling well enough to put themselves into such a stressfull experience as BB. If i applied to go in BB, i would not be allowed in because of my mental health, ~FACT. there's a good reason for this, and the rule shouldn't change because of a celebrity status. denise suffers depression ~FACT alchohol is a depressant, you are strongly discouraged from drinking at all by doctors whilst suffering depression, it also stops anti-depressants working,. ~FACT denise should not be in there in the first place. this is nothing against her. this is just common sense. and the usual BB rules for "normal" people. and as for the michael madsen comment, saying denise is emotionally disturbed.. guess what? he's right. denise is emotionally disturbed, same way as i'm emotionally disturbed. quoted from the oxford english dictionary: "disturbed: having emotional or mental problems." denise HAS got emotional/mental problems. that is undisputable. this doesn't mean that i'm slagging her off. having emotional/mental problems isn't something to be ashamed of. I have heard the word "disturbed" used by doctors, as i assume denise has, and if the story of michael being sectioned is true, he'll have heard it in that context too. let's say though, that he did say it out of nastiness, it is still the most real, meaningful, wake up call of a sentence denise has heard in there, there was more genuine care in his abrupt comment (I remind you, being disturbed mentally ill etc... is NOT an insult as so many of you seem to think it is) than has been shown to her from the other housemates. I'm disturbed. I didn't ask for it, i'd rather not have it, but i cope with it as best i can and i'm a proud". |
Very good personal account of someones view on their own depression.
I too have suffered bouts of depression on and off over the past 30 years, starting off with post natal depression. I can put my hand on my heart and assure you now that I do not consider myself disturbed in any way, mentally or emotional. As Denise is/was not actually suffering from a bout of depression when she went in the house she has as much right as any other housemate to be in there. If she developed depression again whist in there I would hope she woud be given the help she would need and leave the show. Everyones account of how they cope with depression would probaby not be the same. |
Welch also admitted to using cocaine while filming Coronation Street and hitting her husband's head with a lamp shade after a "drink-fuelled row".
Welch confessed that her marriage was nearly ruined because of her mental illness, as well as an affair she had during the midst of her depression. With the help of her former Coronation Street co-star Kevin 'Curly Watts' Kennedy (a recovering alcoholic), she attended Alcoholics Anonymous and suggested that this helped her to end her dependency on alcohol. She claimed that it was the "hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life, but it is also the thing that I'm proudest of. And my mental health is now so much better than it was when I was drinking...I will always have depression—but I'm in control of it now because I've given up drinking". On 29 April 2010 her 320 Page autobiography Pulling Myself Together was published, in which she described how she overcame her problems with alcohol, drugs and depression. It became a best seller in the UK. I don't think she's fully recovered, maybe bb should step in and take the poor cow out for her own good. The tit show should have been the final straw. |
having depression does not excuse a person bullying and abusing a person for weeks,as she has done. period.she must take responsibility for her own actions. BB also should have warned her the night she threatened abused and hit michael
