god forbid they touch mediafire

hopefully mediafire will learn the lesson, and make sure they arn't profiting from spreading illegal content.

It;'s a simple sollution, moderate what people upload, hire more people. PAY PEOPLE. these companies think they can get away with profiting from doing no work. Guess what, no you can't, hire people, PAY people, to make sure yu are providing and HONEST service that isn't breaking the law.

MAKE NEW JOBS for PEOPLE. these companies are making millions of dollars, but they can't bother hiring people??

It difficult to moderate what people are uploading though, to be certain they would have to download and check inside every single zip, then if they do that people will start complaining about privacy etc.

okay, that's what newspapers and Tv shows have to do, so why not internet sites???

If TV stations and newspapers are held to certain standards, why shouldn't internet sites be held to those same standards?

Shaun 22-01-2012 10:43 PM

uploaded.to is gone too

I don't see how tv shows and newspapers come into it?

I'm not saying these sites shouldnt be held to certain standards i'm pointing out how difficult it would be for them to check every single file that is uploaded to the site, not only that how would they deal with files that are password protected? and even if they did all that I think there would still be privacy problems to deal with.

I've already torrented so much stuff that if I'm actually brought to court over it, I don't think a few £'s here and there where they haven't traced me, would actually make much of difference tbh.

Callum 22-01-2012 11:40 PM

Filesonic was always the worst file sharing site by a mile so I couldn't care less that it's gone.

King Gizzard 22-01-2012 11:44 PM

Havn't illegally downloaded for a while now. Don't think they would individually sue everyone, just the uploaders

They claim that 750,000 people are losing their jobs, but then why do they keep on paying certain actors millions to appear in one movie ?

Sidereel doesn't host or stream anything, it just has links to things, so can't be taken down surely?

The internet would be useless without Sidereel :bored:
