The road that passes the house is a busy road and there's been countless crashes and deaths because drivers have had to swerve suddenly to miss people "running out of the walls" and stuff, horrible.

My Dad drove past there from giving a workmate a lift home off nights a few years ago about 5am-ish. There was a man walking along the road by the house all in black with a hood up. As my Dad drove nearer he realised the 'man' had no head inside the hood! As you can imagine, he sped home ha.

My cousin's from Liverpool and when she was little her parents used to say "______ or PURPLE AKI WILL GET YOU" because people thought he was a myth.

He's real. Didn't he chase someone to feel their muscles once and the guy ran onto the train tracks and got hit by a train?!

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 13-02-2012 07:39 PM

i heard that train thing too ;_;

Omg so where I live used to be a WWII Airfield and apparently its haunted D:

Quote:

n 1957 Ray Downs was called up for his National Service and after training at West Kirby was posted to RAF Hornchurch in April.

He was an admin orderly; referred to as a Jack-of-all-trades, and after a few weeks he became a voluntary member of the crash crew attached to the Fire Station.

Ray Downs soon became aware that Hornchurch was haunted, and he heard many stories, as you will find out in a moment. The first incident was a story told by the RAF Military Police dog handlers, about an area of grass by the main hangar.

Their dogs would not, or only with great reluctance, cross this piece of grass which was approximately thirty yards square. This small piece of grass - surrounded by thousands of square yards of airfield had like an invisible Force Field around it.

It was said that on this very spot, an NCO fitter was killed during the last war, when he walked into the propeller of a Hurricane Fighter that was undergoing an engine test.

During the Second World War RAF Hornchurch had been in the front line and during the Battle of Britain the airfield had suffered at least 20 separate bombing attacks.

The airfield goes back to the early days of the First World War and throughout both World Wars it was a very active airfield, housing many Fighter Squadrons which ... The rest of this story along with other interesting, chilling and thought provoking true stories can be found in the book Ghost Stations™ 1.
ah/

And there's a forum page or some **** with people saying the park near me (like not even a block from my house), is a great place to witness WWI & WWII related paranormal phenomena D:

Niall 13-02-2012 07:51 PM

I knew that it was an airfield where I live but I didn't know it was supposedly haunted D:

Also in a village a couple of miles away, there's a house at the bottom of a hill as you enter it and there's been a doll in the middle of the window for DECADES, even when people have moved out and new ones moved in the doll has stayed.

Apparently when/if the doll is taken from the window there'll be a huge crash or something or loads of collisions.

Doogle 13-02-2012 07:56 PM

None that I know of about Dover. Please enlighten me if you know any. Actually don't, I'll sh!t bricks.

I feel bad for making stuff up when I went on a ghost hunt

Like threw a big stone in the river we went past, tapped a couple of people on the shoulder and generally said I saw stuff

Wymering Manor aka "The most haunted house in Britain"

http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/image...eringmanor.jpg

''After all, how many homes can boast a ghostly choir of nuns who scuttle across the hall, and a host of unseen hands which reach out to touch those passing by?''

''The building still has two 'priest holes' where Catholics hid to escape persecution. Investigators of the paranormal claim to have sensed the presence of between 20 to 30 spirits in the home, including those of children laughing and whispering.''

''Although they patrol it on a 24-hour basis because it attracts lots of people who are intrigued by its levels of paranormal activity, they refuse to work alone there at night.''

I don't mind ones about ghosts, like if they're nuns or sassy black women like people have mentioned.

It's the stories of people upstairs killing children when people are babysitting or killing dogs that makes me scared.
