I've worked out, if they want a 64 day series before the Olympics, it can launch on Thursday 17th May and end on Friday 20th July 2012. Lasting 64 days.

It's the new format, apparently. Mid-sized regular BB and two 20-25 dayers for the celebs. Get used to it.

Marsh. 18-02-2012 09:15 PM

90 days is way too much. Of all the series that stretched to 13/14 weeks I only really liked BB7. But even that grew stale by week 10/11.

Short and sweet and finishing when you're wanting more is for the best. Nothing worse than a series dragging itself slowly to the final. (I'm looking at you BB10).

I'm happy with a shorter to be honest, i think alot of people are forgetting that big brother was CANCELLED. So let's be happy that it's on at all, as as for 2 CBB's. Go ahead :)

I think the wide speculation is that it's likely to launch in mid-may (Just like the good old C4 days :) ) to finish before the olympics, and with BGT starting in March this would slot in perfectly. Who knows we might get a longer series next year? Schedules are just very tight this year with Euro 2012 and the Olympics.

The three month BB marathon back please. No nominations for at least two weeks.:)

billy123 21-02-2012 07:13 AM

I hope its longer than 10 weeks last series it felt really conceived at 10 weeks like they were desperate to ram it with every possible eventuality rather than let it bubble and happen naturally it should be 12 weeks minimum.

Petershaw1984 21-02-2012 07:53 AM

Why would it have to be shorter for the olympics? I think it will start may 24th and end august the 17th lasting around 85 days .

Ideally 78-85 days would be enough for me so 11-12 week of bb.

Maybe

emmetmcl 21-02-2012 06:55 PM

Ideally I would prefer the start of July, as I have Leaving Cert exams at the start of June and the Euros are on.

But anyway, 60 odd days seems better than 90 to me.
I usually lose interest in the longer series for a week or two near the end, but still try to watch LOL.

60 day BB and 2 CBB's - that seems fine to me.

Might be the first week of May and be on for 12 weeks, Jamie East was filming something at the house today and there's a coming soon page on Applause Store for tickets:
