someone older probably but less known since they probably spent all their money on Britney, wouldn't be surprised if it was an old motown singer

BBfanUSA 10-03-2012 11:12 AM

I'm starting to think that the last mentor is going to be a country singer. This will allow a diverse panel and bring in viewers.

Looks like she turned it down :(

Britney Spears has reportedly rejected a $10 million offer from the producers of The X Factor USA.

Earlier in the week it was reported that Spears was in final talks to join the judging panel for the show, but now it seems that she may not sign.

TheWrap reports that Spears is asking for $20 million to join as a judge, considerably more than the $2.5 million former judge Paula Abdul was apparently paid.

Producers have been searching for big names to fill the spots of Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, who were dropped from the show earlier this year.

Sources close to Spears say that if the deal does not go through, she is eyeing a possible Las Vegas residency show like Celine Dion's and The Voice judge Cee Lo Green's.

The X Factor is currently holding open auditions across the United States.

The second season of The X Factor USA begins in September.

Okay Shouldn't there be a sense of a little urgency? because judges' callbacks are in May over here.

Maybe they should hire one woman and then have the other woman ready to go by Boot Camp

(Use a guest judge in the fourth spot)

Smithy 10-03-2012 09:03 PM

Not really, it's only march, it's not like it has to be announced, they could leave it till the day before the call backs started

Something tells me she wouldn't demand 20 million, I mean the papers said Cowell was willing to pay Beyonce about 100 million. She's a very tightly controlled woman though so it wouldn't surprise me if the puppet masters are asking for more.

I don't think she would demand 20 million either. I think either the deals already signed and they're going to officially announce it in the next few weeks or she just doesn't want to do it.

I hope one of the judges is Katy Perry. It would be a great rebound after divorcing Russell, well she's rebounded already but her on a tv show will just add salt to Russell's wound

Britney Spears is set to sign a $15million deal to join the judging panel of X Factor USA, it has been claimed.

According to TMZ.com, Britney will soon be finalising her contract for the show, after her team work out the 'fine points' of the deal.
Once the contract has been agreed, it has to be approved by Britney's father Jamie, who is also her conservator, before being approved by the judge who 'oversees the conservatorship'.

However, a source told the gossip website that it is a 'virtual certainty' that the deal will go ahead.

The report came after Cowell admitted yesterday that he was desperate to have Britney join him and L.A. Reid on the panel for the new show.

Talking to TMZ.com, he admitted he could not reveal too much about the negotiations, but said he is expecting to hear back from the Toxic singer's people within the week.
He said: 'I would love to have her on the show ... I think she would be a fascinating person to sit next to.'

One of the sticking points delaying the agreement has previously been cited as the number of series she would have to commit to.
A source said: 'Money is not an issue for the show. As of now, they are looking to pay her $12-15million for the first season, with a drastic price hike for a second year based on ratings performance.

'Simon Cowell wants at least a two-year commitment and Britney wants an out clause if she doesn't want to continue after one year of service.'
Looks like its back on.

You wanna hope she doesn't shave her hair off before the Live Shows.

bbfan1991 18-04-2012 11:45 PM

I don't watch this show but good on her if true, she will give fab advice to the contestants:).

Locke. 19-04-2012 01:37 AM

Won't boost ratings that much, not as many people are interested in her these days.

Hope the second judge is someone who can actually sing.

BBfanUSA 19-04-2012 07:46 PM

The other is probably going to be LeeAnn Rimes

Marsh. 19-04-2012 07:53 PM

"I love you"
"You're amazing"
"That's like so totally awesome"

I'm sure we're in for some pearls of wisdom from Ms. Spears.

Jordan. 19-04-2012 07:59 PM

15 million is just ridiculous. Can she even speak for herself? I bet she'll just be looking at the side to her team holding up cue cards.

WE GO TO DEADLOCK! AAAARRRGH!

Jordan. 19-04-2012 08:52 PM

:joker:

She was at her best in her meltdown

Tom4784 19-04-2012 08:57 PM

I could see her doing it, I bet she's hoping it will invigorate her career like American Idol has for J.Lo.

Marsh. 19-04-2012 08:58 PM

JLo can still perform though. Britney's always mimed and stuff but she's lost that "spark" that made her entertaining.

Move on already.

Im not sure, its hardly as if she could critique people on singing. She'll sit there and look pretty though and pretend not to be trailer trash.
