Omg, that breaks my heart. I hate doing that to my books.

Books are nice when they're worn and visibly read, better than when they look like they're straight off the shelf at Waterstones

A bookmark,it's a really old one and one my Grandmother gave me, one of the only times she grabbed me by the ear was when I folded a page in a book I was reading,I have never folded a page in any book since.

I know, it's bad... but I just lose bookmarks or they fall out. Also MTVN is right, books look better when they are a bit scuffed up.

I do keep them nice and tidy in my bookcase when I'm not reading them tho

Jesus. 08-03-2012 11:05 PM

I remember what the "pop up" looks like.

Josy 08-03-2012 11:06 PM

I use book clips similar to these

And I hate ebooks, kindles etc.

I feel sorry for all the little book shops when I see more and more people using the electronic crap

King Gizzard 08-03-2012 11:07 PM

But they stick out of the book josy D: ahhhhhhhhHHhh

Same. I like little bookshops were you can browse through all the shelves at your leisure, waiting for something to catch your eye and make you read it. And you get the smell of books too, you don't get that with electronic books.

Kate! 08-03-2012 11:10 PM

Same as Bollo, leave the book lying open, face down.

King Gizzard 08-03-2012 11:12 PM

That makes the spine go creased :nono: All people who do this should be banned from reading ever again

Benjamin 08-03-2012 11:15 PM

All these book torturers. :nono:

Kizzy 08-03-2012 11:15 PM

I turn the corner too...:/

King Gizzard 08-03-2012 11:21 PM

Ben round them all up and lock them in the dungeons

Benjamin 08-03-2012 11:35 PM

I'm going to give all the book torturers paper cuts for their abuse.

Princess 08-03-2012 11:49 PM

I try and remember the page number or the chapter, which has resulted in me being spoiled quite a few times, though I do remember more often than not.

Princess 09-03-2012 12:51 AM

I love seeing a book spine all worn and cracked, it looks loved.

King Gizzard 09-03-2012 12:53 AM

Nope, I'm going to make an origami crane that will peck at you all.

Yeah me too, it's a shame that book shops seem to be slowly dying out, and most left now are all Waterstones or WH Smith
