By credible witnesses. Look into the rendlesham forest case. Also there was a major disclosure by mutliple US military personel about similar incidents where UFO's were spotted over other US nuclear facilities.

this has also been corroberated with Russian forces. It actually came to a point where The Americans and the Russians had to have a conversation because both sides were thinking that the UFOs were from the other side, and both sides had to acknowledge that these UFOs could trigger a war. So both sides sat down and said "look, these are not from us, we need to acknowledge that there are UFOs and we need to have a plan to make sure that these UFOs don't start a war between us, we shouldn't mistake an invasion for these UFOs.
Both the Americans were thinking it was the russians, and the Russians thought it was a Americans, but it wasn't, it was legitimate UFOs.

It's one of the reason the cold war came to an end, because it got us actually talking to each other.
